Trevor Silver is the CEO of Exusia. He spoke about the company in an exclusive interview with The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.

Q. There are concerns with valuable and critical data being stored remotely. How do you educate your clients about the complex security measures that you implement?

Exusia is proud to be an ISO 27001 certified organization that takes data security very seriously and has successfully passed audits with several fortune 100 organizations. At the start of every engineering engagement, Exusia’s team meets with our client’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and IT / Engineering teams to establish a plan, process, and set of protocols to meet our client’s information security policies and procedures. At Exusia we typically use a combination of ISO policies, firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication methods to ensure the appropriate level of security for our clients.

Q. Cloud/data storage services continue to play a vital role in the ingestion, computation, storage, and management of information. How do you interpret this statement?

In today’s digital age, there are many technologies transforming industries right now, and some of those technologies, as well as several others, are well-positioned to continue to do this for years to come. The most disruptive technology out there today is “Cloud,” while the premise is quite simple, the focus and efficiency to operational expense (OpEx) that cloud brings to businesses across almost every industry is undeniable. At Exusia, cloud technology is involved in almost every one of our client’s data strategy.

Q. With so much data available, collecting meaningful and real-time data is a real challenge. How do you help your clients access the insights that are needed most?

Exusia was born in 2012 out of the requirement to support fortune 100 clients make complex sub-second decisions leveraging massive amounts of information.  A prevalent part of every “Proof of Value” (POV) that our client’s request is what we call a “Data Pipeline.” Exusia’s founders have been refining the art of real-time data pipelining since the inception of our company and for many years before that. In every engagement, we bring this knowledge, IP, and application frameworks to our clients to significantly bring down the time and associated cost of achieving a business centric return on investment around both real-time and batch data processing and analytics.

Q. How do you deal with the “never-ending change” in digital transformation?

At Exusia, we believe it is critical to work towards where the market is heading while perfecting where the market is today. Exusia has a dedicated R&D team that regularly tests out new technologies across several different areas in what we call the data ecosystem.   Thanks to partnerships with many of the leading technology providers in the market, Exusia is often able to test technologies and design patterns out well before they enter the market.
