Liberty Gold's Black Pine Now a Top US Gold Project

Liberty Gold's Black Pine Now a Top US Gold Project

A new resource estimate ranks Liberty Gold's Black Pine project in Idaho among the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the western United States.

Liberty Gold Corp. has announced a major updated mineral resource estimate for its flagship Black Pine project in southeastern Idaho, catapulting the asset into the ranks of the largest undeveloped gold projects in the western United States. The new estimate, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 standards, significantly increases the contained gold ounces, solidifying Black Pine's status as a premier, district-scale discovery in a mining-friendly jurisdiction.

The resource upgrade is the result of an extensive, multi-year drill program that has successfully expanded the known mineralized zones and identified new high-grade structures. The deposit is characterized by its Carlin-style gold mineralization, which is amenable to low-cost, open-pit mining and heap-leach processing a combination that enhances its potential economic viability. Analysts note that the project's scale, grade, and favorable metallurgy position it as a highly attractive target for partnership or acquisition by a major producer seeking to replenish reserves.

"Black Pine has consistently exceeded our expectations," stated Liberty Gold's CEO. "This update confirms we are advancing one of the most significant new gold discoveries in the U.S. in the last decade." The project is located in Idaho, a state with a strong mining heritage and supportive regulatory framework, adding to its strategic value.

The news has provided a substantial boost to Liberty Gold's market valuation and has heightened investor interest in North American gold development assets. The company indicates the next phase will focus on completing a pre-feasibility study process and further de-risking the project through permitting and environmental baseline studies. As the global gold mining industry faces declining reserve grades and a shortage of large, new discoveries in safe jurisdictions, Black Pine's emergence is particularly timely.
