Wipro shares rose 4% after expanding its partnership with ServiceNow to scale agentic AI workflows across IT, HR, procurement and cybersecurity. The Silicon Review reports on the Wipro Partnership.

Shares of Wipro rose as much as 4.7 percent after the IT services company announced an expanded wipro partnership with ServiceNow to deploy agentic AI workflows across core enterprise functions. The stock opened at ₹211.20 on the BSE, marking its biggest intraday gain since April 1, before paring some gains to trade around ₹206 by late morning.

The rally extended to Wipro's American Depositary Receipt, which surged over 18 percent on the New York Stock Exchange, its largest single-day gain since October 2008. The broader Nifty IT index also rose nearly 2.5 percent, with Infosys, TCS, and HCLTech climbing between 2 and 4 percent.

Under the expanded partnership, Wipro will integrate its Wipro Intelligence suite of AI-powered platforms with the ServiceNow AI Platform. The integration is designed to streamline the initiation, orchestration and execution of work across enterprise systems, reducing manual coordination and improving operational visibility.

Three Wipro Intelligence solutions will leverage the ServiceNow AI Platform: SmartProcure for procurement workflow automation, Telco Autonomous Networks for telecom service operations and Cyber Transform for cybersecurity incident response management.

Malay Joshi, CEO of Wipro's Americas 1 Strategic Market Unit, said enterprises often face challenges in scaling AI implementation despite strong ambitions. "Our expanded partnership with ServiceNow is designed to bridge that gap through a consulting-led, AI-powered approach that translates business priorities into industry-aligned AI solutions," he said.

Amit Zavery, President and COO of ServiceNow, added that connected and governed AI integrated into enterprise workflows would help organizations achieve measurable operational outcomes and accelerate the transition toward agentic enterprises.

The partnership comes as Indian IT firms race to bolster their AI offerings amid growing investor concerns that advances in AI could disrupt traditional outsourcing and technology services work. The sector has been under pressure following rapid advances in generative AI, which reignited fears about long-term demand for conventional IT projects.

Despite the day's optimism, Wipro shares remain down over 23 percent year-to-date. The company reported a 1.9 percent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹3,521 crore for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, even as revenue rose 7.7 percent.
