Interview Highlights

Q. Why was Faith Works Consulting born? What pain points did you set out to solve?

Faith Works Consulting was formed in response to addressing socio-cultural inequity through best management and leadership practices for organizations and individuals. We help fill in the gaps between businesses, social enterprises, nonprofit organizations, governmental social policy, and individuals and religious organizations that seek to live out their faith through works of action. We work with individuals, social enterprises, and nonprofit organizations. We meet one-on-one with individuals and small groups to assist with their faith discernment and application and offer leadership assessments and coaching. Our core ethos is structured around the needs of our clients. We will always seek to ensure they are satisfied with our services, which often involve providing evidence-based solutions that can be sensitive in nature, difficult to process, and challenging to implement. We do not just tell our clients what they want to hear, nor take an easy path to uncover complex problems. We are thorough and pragmatic in our methods to ensure our clients are satisfied with our products and services. As such, we value helping organizations achieve their goals, focusing on relationship-building throughout our consulting and coaching process, tailoring our work to meet the needs of our clients, and being clear and transparent in our pricing and satisfaction guarantees. Above all, our culture revolves around helping to make the world a better place by providing services that support individuals and organizations in solving some of our biggest challenges, which is lived through our motto, “Helping you Help Others.”

Q. Can you introduce us to your management services? What are their key features?

We provide a range of services in the areas of organizational administration, operations, personnel, and finances, including organizational strategy, vision, thinking, and planning, innovation formation, and disruption tactics, project and program evaluation and management, board development, peer advisory groups, personnel optimization, team-building, conflict mediation and crisis mitigation, life and executive coaching, advocacy training, religious, faith, and cultural identification and integration, revenue stream diversification, budget and financial needs analysis, competitive market studies, policy research, and grant writing.

The key features of our solutions-based services in organizational administration, operations, personnel, and finances include the following.

Administratively, we contribute to goal setting, vision formation and thinking sessions, growth forecasting, strategic plans and frameworks, succession and transition plans, policy formation, market analysis, and competitive advantage appraisals.

For operations, we provide a measurement of social and community impact, outcomes assessments, logic modeling, action plans, and brand strategy, and assist with mission revitalization.

Financially, we perform fundraising needs analysis, grant writing, budget review and optimization, revenue stream diversification, and help with capital and infrastructure campaigns.

For personnel, we conduct advocacy and inclusion training, conflict mediation, and targeted generational outreach. Although there are many competitors in the management consulting and leadership coaching space, we offer a broad range of services and products to a niche market of faith-based and religious-minded individuals and organizations.

Q. In what industries are your clients? Can you provide us with one or two success stories describing the challenges your clients faced and how Faith Works helped them overcome those challenges?

We consult with many religious or faith-based nonprofit organizations, such as public charities, higher education institutions, advocacy groups, and foundations. We also enjoy collaborating with social enterprises, such as socially responsible businesses, entrepreneurial nonprofits, mission-driven initiatives, and community organizations, to solve some of our most significant societal problems. Our approach to client service has always been our number one priority at Faith Works Consulting. For us, that means going the extra mile to ensure that they have the data, research, knowledge, and information to make difficult decisions, enact change, and provide maximum impact on their communities and society. Our purpose is not just to increase growth and revenue. We want to help individuals and organizations live lives with meaning and provide a legacy that makes the world a better place to work and live. For example, we recently helped a client create a strategic plan that outlined many new areas of focus to enact their vision of supporting low-income and vulnerable people in their community. We were able to help them benchmark their goals while delivering a clear and visible pathway for accountability for their action items.

Q. How does Faith Works create and sustain a culture of innovation?

We enthusiastically patriciate in, conduct, and follow the latest research in management and leadership scholarship, best practices, and trends to offer salient and the most time-tested solutions and problem-solving approaches. We take the lead in providing new, innovative, or uncustomary options to our clients. However, we also offer services and products that adhere to what has worked well for those in similar situations or industries. New technology and increased digitalization mean many industries and individuals have to survive and thrive in an era of rapid change. Increased demands and new expectations brought on by evolving technology require that we deliver fresh management visions and bold leadership approaches to old problems and long-standing issues. We provide innovative and strategic products and services that meet these increased demands and adapt quickly to new expectations.

Q. Tell us about the Faith Works team. What value do they bring to the company?

The Faith Works Consulting team is passionate about helping their clients live their mission by serving others. We are honored to walk alongside our clients as together we seek to solve some of society’s most pressing issues, such as food and clothing insecurity, homelessness and housing instability, gaining access to education and skills training, and creation care and endometrial stewardship.

Q. Will Faith Works be expanding, bringing on any new services that we should be aware of?

Faith Works Consulting continues to expand its customer base. We also plan to continue tailoring our products and services to meet the unique and challenging needs of our clients. Our passion and goals remain the same—to help individuals and organizations provide a positive and lasting impact on the world for future generations.

Q. What's the one thing you want Faith Works to be known for?

We want Faith Works Consulting to be known for its dedication to clients.
