Blazing the trail
DAN HOBIN, Co-founder and CEO: With over 20 years of experience building technology companies with high growth, Dan oversees G5′s strategic direction, execution, and planning. Most recently, Dan was the founder and CEO of Smashcast, Inc., a Web-based digital publishing company out of San Francisco. Prior to Smashcast, Dan held key roles in both marketing and sales at beyond.com, and their spin-out company, CyberSource Corporation (San Jose, CA), focused on online software sales and e-commerce sales, respectively. Dan is a co-founder of Bend Venture Conference, a major local event connecting early stage companies with seed investment opportunities, as well as participating on the advisory board of Oregon State University - Cascades. Dan completed his B.A. at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Asian Studies with a focus on Japanese Business. He is also a graduate of the Shibusawa International School in Fukaya, Japan.
