Michael Yurchuk, Christian Lingua Translation Agency CEO: “By employing human translators instead of machines, we can accurately interpret cultural phrases and terms, thanks to our deep understanding of both biblical terminologies and language-specific nuances”
The Silicon Review
Christian Lingua Translation Agency is more than just a business—it’s a faith-driven ministry that seeks to build meaningful partnerships rather than transactional relationships. Unlike typical translation companies, Christian Lingua operates with a deep commitment to ministry, viewing every project as an opportunity to serve and support those spreading the Word. The company was founded with a clear purpose: to assist ministries, organizations, and individuals
with challenging translation projects that others might overlook. Christian Lingua’s core philosophy is the idea of partnership. Rather than referring to their customers as “clients,” they prefer the term “partners,” reflecting their mission to walk alongside you in your spiritual journey and help you connect with your audience in a meaningful way. Christian Lingua stands out from the rest by fostering personal relationships with each partner, ensuring that they aren’t just another project number. The agency goes above and beyond to provide quality translations, offering both professionalism and a sense of ministry-driven dedication. Their team of devout translators is committed to delivering accurate, culturally-sensitive translations while upholding Christian values in every task they undertake. This focus on faith, culture, and relationship-building sets them apart from other agencies that may prioritize speed or profit over personal connection and ministry goals.
With Christian Lingua, the goal is not only to complete a translation project but to cultivate long-term relationships that will benefit both the ministry and its audience. Whether the project is large or small, Christian Lingua approaches every task with the same dedication to excellence, always with a heart for service and a focus on God’s work.
In conversation with Michael Yurchuk, CEO and Founder of Christian Lingua Translation Agency
Q. With over 220 languages available, how does Christian Lingua ensure the linguistic and cultural nuances of each language are captured faithfully, especially for Christian texts?
Our company ensures that every nuance is captured by relying on spirit-filled linguists rather than using Google Translate or other AI services. Human translation is far more accurate, especially when it comes to conveying the meaning of phrases and cultural context. Languages evolve over time, and our team stays up to date with these changes to ensure the translations remain accurate. By employing human translators instead of machines, we can accurately interpret cultural phrases and terms, thanks to our deep understanding of both biblical terminologies and language-specific nuances.
Q. In a world where AI tools like Google Translate are common, why do you insist on using spirit-filled linguists rather than relying on machine translation?
While machines can provide accurate translations from one language to another, they fall short when it comes to capturing the cultural nuances and deeper context that only human translators can understand. Machines may translate words, but they often miss the meaning and intent behind the language. That’s why it’s essential to rely on human translation, especially for certain languages and messages where context is critical. Human translators ensure that the message is not only accurate but also culturally relevant and meaningful.
Q. Trust is central to your work. What specific steps do you take to build and maintain a long-term trust with your partners, and how has that trust benefited your relationships?
We start every project by truly getting to know your story and the vision behind your ministry outreach. Whether you’re aiming to reach an unreached population through Christian video or simply need a one-page pamphlet for a mission trip, we want to understand every detail. Building rapport is key for us, so we take the time to listen closely to our partners. This way, we can genuinely partner with them in their mission. Our service goes beyond just translating a project; it’s about advancing the kingdom and providing the necessary tools to reach the world. By hearing your story and vision, we’re able to give our partners confidence in the quality of their translation services and build long-lasting relationships, often resulting in repeat collaborations over time.
Q. Given the complexity of some of your projects- such as translating 69-volume commentary series into multiple languages – how do you manage large scale, multilingual projects while ensuring accuracy and consistency?
We have a dedicated staff of over 70 people and collaborate with more than 1,300 linguists, reviewers, voice talents, and other experts, covering over 220 languages. By maintaining a full-time team, we’re able to handle projects of any size or complexity with precision. With such a large group of spirit-filled translators, we can manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines. This allows us to deliver high-quality work without compromising on accuracy or efficiency.
Q. Christian Lingua has served well known Christian leaders and organizations like Rick Warren and Bible Project. What do you believe has led these global ministries to choose your agency over others?
We are truly honored to be chosen by these organizations and our other partners who trust us with their translation needs every day. We believe that trust comes from consistently delivering accurate translations, even for the most complex projects. Our ability to complete these projects not only on time but also at affordable rates is something we take great pride in, especially for our ministry partners. Beyond that, our team is dedicated to building and maintaining long-term relationships, which often leads to repeat business. We always strive to go above and beyond to nurture those connections throughout every experience.
Q. Looking ahead, what is Christian Lingua’s vision for the future of Christian translation, and how do you plan to continue serving ministries in a constantly changing world?
One of our core visions is to spread the word to as many languages as possible, serving our community and partners while making a greater impact on the nations. We plan to achieve this by staying up to date with cultural, linguistic, and global changes. Our linguists are always learning and adapting to new nuances, ensuring that every audience can fully receive and understand the message. Our mission is to see Christian translation reach further than ever before by partnering with worldwide ministries, and we’re committed to making that vision a reality.
