Innovative Companies to Watch 2026

Stoyan Kenderov, Wisdom Dental Billing CEO: “Wisdom is reshaping what a modern dental business looks like.”

Wisdom Dental Billing was founded in 2023 with a clear goal: fix the operational mess quietly holding dental practices back. While clinicians focus on delivering great care, too many practices are stuck battling insurance complexity, administrative overload, staffing gaps, and inconsistent billing systems. These problems rarely show up on a balance sheet right away, but over time they drain revenue, energy, and morale. Wisdom exists to bring order to that chaos.

The company serves independent and group dental practices across all specialties, helping teams regain control of their back-office operations. In busy offices, essential tasks like insurance verification and follow-ups are often the first to slip when schedules get tight. What this really means is delayed payments, rising A/R, frustrated staff, and unnecessary stress. Wisdom was built to create clarity and consistency where it matters most, so practices can improve cash flow, reduce burnout, and operate more sustainably. That mission is deeply personal. Co-founder and Chief Dental Billing Officer Ashley Bond grew up inside her father’s dental practice and saw firsthand how billing problems snowball. Insurance confusion, constant interruptions, and rework became part of the daily grind, pulling attention away from patients and putting pressure on the entire team. Her takeaway was simple: dental practices deserve a billing system they can trust. To scale that vision, Ashley partnered with co-founder and CEO Stoyan Kenderov, a seasoned business leader with decades of experience building and leading technology-driven companies. Together, they created Wisdom at the intersection of deep dental billing expertise and modern technology.

Wisdom pairs expert-led billing operations with AI-driven tools designed to reduce errors, lower accounts receivable, and remove the daily administrative burden from practices. The result is a calmer back office, healthier revenue cycles, and dental teams free to focus on what they do best: caring for patients and growing their practices with confidence.

In conversation with Stoyan Kenderov, Co-Founder and CEO of Wisdom Dental Billing

Can you explain your services in brief?

Wisdom is a full-service dental billing partner that helps practices collect faster, lower A/R, and recover more revenue—so teams can focus on patients, not paperwork.

Wisdom supports practices with:

  • Insurance verification and eligibility
  • Claims preparation, scrubbing, and submission
  • Denial management, follow-ups, and appeals
  • Payment posting and reconciliation
  • Patient billing, statements, and collections

The team operates as an extension of the practice, combining billing expertise with modern tools to streamline workflows and improve results.

Wisdom describes itself as “Powered by Tech.” What is the specific role of your AI-driven tools and platform in the hands of your expert billers, and how does this human+tech model create better outcomes than pure automation or a traditional billing service?

Wisdom’s technology is designed to make teams faster, more consistent, and more proactive—not to replace them. The company uses AI-driven tools and proprietary data to streamline tasks like insurance verification, claims pre-checks, and workflow visibility, helping prevent errors before they become delays or denials.

But Wisdom is built on the belief that AI alone isn’t enough for dental billing. Insurance rules are constantly changing, exceptions are common, and real-world claims often require judgment and persistence. That’s why Wisdom pairs its technology with highly trained U.S.-based revenue specialists who ensure every claim is accurate, every denial is addressed, and every dollar owed is followed through.

This “human + tech” model creates better outcomes than pure automation—which can break down in edge cases—or traditional billing services that rely heavily on manual processes and outdated systems.

Your results show a 98% client revenue increase and a 50% reduction in old accounts receivable. What specific innovations in your process like “diligent claims scrubbing” or workflow integration are responsible for driving these dramatic, consistent financial improvements for dental practices?

Wisdom’s results come from a simple philosophy: prevent problems before they happen, and relentlessly follow through when they do. A major driver is the company’s disciplined approach to claim accuracy. Every claim is carefully scrubbed before submission to ensure it’s complete, coded correctly, and supported by the right documentation. That attention to detail dramatically reduces preventable rejections and denials, which are often the root cause of delayed payments and growing A/R.

Wisdom also takes ownership of what happens after claims go out the door. When payments are delayed or denials occur, the team proactively follows up with insurance companies and manages appeals so claims don’t sit untouched in the background. That consistency—combined with faster identification of issues—helps practices accelerate cash flow and reduce the volume of accounts aging into the 90+ day bucket.

On the financial operations side, Wisdom strengthens outcomes by ensuring payment posting and reconciliation are done with precision. Every transaction is analyzed and accurately recorded, then matched back to the original treatment and bank deposits to reduce errors and protect the practice from missed revenue or inconsistencies. And because insurance verification is handled thoroughly upfront, practices are able to create treatment plans with more confidence and avoid downstream billing surprises that can create rework and delays.

Backed by Juxtapose, Permanent Capital Ventures, and Aquiline you are built as a “category-defining technology company.” Looking at the future of dental practice management, what broader role do you see intelligent, integrated financial operations playing in the success of healthcare providers?

Wisdom believes the future of healthcare operations will be defined by intelligent systems that make financial performance more predictable, transparent, and efficient.

For decades, dentistry invested heavily in the clinical experience, but many of the business systems behind the practice stayed outdated—filled with manual work, fragmented tools, and opaque payer processes. Wisdom’s long-term vision is to modernize dentistry by creating a unified financial system of record and reimagining the insurance relationship.

As practices adopt smarter, integrated financial operations, they’ll spend less time reacting to denials and chasing payments—and more time leading the business with clarity. With the right combination of AI and expert oversight, financial operations become a competitive advantage, not a constant source of stress.

What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

Wisdom is building toward a future where the back office feels effortless for dental teams—faster, more accurate, and far less stressful.

The company will continue expanding how it uses AI-driven tools and proprietary data to streamline workflows, reduce administrative load, and improve cash flow predictability—while keeping experienced billing experts accountable for correctness and outcomes.

Customers can expect Wisdom to keep pushing the category forward: not just making billing “easier,” but helping practices operate like modern businesses—with better systems, cleaner revenue cycles, and more time and energy available for patient care.
