Zensai was born from a simple idea with powerful impact: as AI reshapes the world, human success should remain at the center. Led by Rasmus Holst, Zensai’s mission is to help people and teams thrive in the age of intelligent technology. The goal isn’t just to make organizations more efficient but to empower the people within them to be more fulfilled, creative, and inspired.

While many learning management systems (LMS) today simply focus on evaluating learning efficiency and individual output, Zensai focuses on people. Its human-led, AI-powered platform is designed to unlock individual potential through smarter insights, clearer goals, and tools that encourage growth and purpose. The vision is straightforward: when people perform at their best, organizations naturally follow. Zensai calls this “Human Success,” a philosophy and company ethos that values empathy, learning, and continuous improvement as much as performance metrics. With more than 6,000 customers across the globe, Zensai’s message has struck a chord. The company is helping organizations recognize that true success isn’t only measured in profits or efficiency, but in how deeply their people feel empowered to contribute and grow.

Zensai isn’t just building another workplace platform. It’s redefining what success looks like in the era of AI by ensuring technology enhances what makes humans exceptional.

In conversation with Rasmus Holst, CEO of Zensai

Can you explain your services in brief?

Zensai is more than a suite of services or AI tools. It’s a movement to redefine success by putting people at the center of organizational success, creating environments where individuals and teams learn, grow, and succeed together.

  • The Human Success Platform: At the heart of Zensai is the Human Success Platform. Wherever you are on your HR journey, it unites learning (Learn365), deep employee engagement (Engage365), and performance management (Perform365) to deliver real impact for employees with a product they actually use and love, all within Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Copilot. We combine goal setting, growth planning, and actionable insights while integrating learning, engagement, and performance directly into the flow of work, where employees already work every day. It also gives HR teams the tools to automate administrative tasks, support managers, and drive measurable impact from personalized coaching to predictive insights for better outcomes.
  • AI-Powered Insights: We use AI pragmatically to provide personalized recommendations for growth and development. It’s like having a coach in your pocket, guiding you toward better decisions and outcomes. Our advanced AI capabilities were recently recognized by the industry analyst firm Fosway as leading the HR tech market.
  • Team Alignment Tools: These tools ensure that everyone is rowing in the same direction. From managers to team members, we make sure goals are aligned, and communication is seamless for better performance.
  • Scalable Solutions for HR Leaders: For organizations, we provide tools to foster a culture of empowerment and growth at scale. Whether it’s onboarding, training, or performance management, we’ve got HR leaders covered.

What unique advantage does this deep, native integration provide over standalone HR tools, and how does it fundamentally change the employee experience?

Zensai’s native integration with Microsoft 365 transforms how employees experience learning, increase engagement, and track personal performance. By meeting people inside the tools they already use such as Teams, Outlook, Copilot, and the Office suite, we remove the friction of switching between HR systems and daily workflows. Nobody else can do this as elegantly as Zensai.

This seamless integration brings growth directly into the flow of work. Learning modules, feedback, and engagement prompts appear naturally within everyday tasks, turning employee development into an ongoing and intuitive experience. Real-time AI insights surface at the right moment, recognizing achievements or suggesting learning resources that make growth both personal and actionable.

Because Zensai is built directly into Microsoft 365, our solutions scale easily across organizations with familiar tools and minimal onboarding, and the result is more than productivity; it’s delivering a platform that HR teams love and IT teams’ trust.

The platform is described as “AI-powered.” Beyond automation, how does your AI actively empower employees, managers, and HR leaders to make smarter decisions about career development and organizational health?

Zensai’s AI empowers smarter decisions by embedding actionable insights into people’s daily workflows. For employees, it personalizes growth paths, recommends skills, and provides real-time feedback. Managers get AI-guided coaching, team health insights, and proactive recommendations. HR leaders benefit from organizational health dashboards, smarter talent development, and AI-assisted content creation. It’s not just automation; it’s about driving growth, connection, and success at every level of the organization.

Zensai introduces the concept of the “Human Success Score.” How does this single metric synthesize data from learning, engagement, and performance to provide a predictive view of workforce readiness and organizational health?

Zensai’s Human Success Score unifies data from learning, engagement, and performance to provide a predictive view of workforce readiness. Think Strava for work. Instead of tracking disconnected HR metrics, it links how people learn, feel, and perform. AI models analyze activity and sentiment within Microsoft 365 to surface insights such as emerging high performers, potential disengagement, or skill gaps that could impact business goals. By combining these elements into a single metric, leaders gain a real-time pulse on organizational health and can take proactive steps to build stronger, more future-ready teams.

In a crowded market of HR technologies, Zensai is recognized for high user adoption. What is it about your product philosophy and design that drives employees to actively use and engage with the platform daily?

Zensai’s high adoption comes from a simple philosophy: make growth effortless. Our Human Success Platform was designed to fit naturally into the daily flow of work rather than compete with it. By integrating seamlessly with Microsoft 365, Teams and Copilot, employees access learning, feedback, and engagement tools directly within the applications they already use every day. The experience is intuitive and personalized. AI surfaces relevant insights and learning opportunities at the right moments, creating a sense of progress and purpose. Rather than being just another HR tool that employees hate, Zensai becomes part of how people work, connect and grow, driving daily engagement across entire organizations.

Your vision positions Zensai as the “HR operating model for the Age of AI.” What does this mean in practice, and how does your platform help organizations transition from traditional, siloed HR functions to a more fluid, interconnected system?

We believe that the age of AI is already here, but it’s causing a lot of disruption to organizations, people, and HR teams, and how they work. What we are offering is an AI-powered platform and operating system that puts humans at the center of growth, development, and performance. We don’t believe humans will be made irrelevant by AI, but that AI can be harnessed to make humans super-powered. This helps organizations level up by investing in people, not by replacing them.

What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

The future for Zensai and our customers is about making Human Success the standard philosophy across the workplace when it comes to people and adopting new technologies. Exciting developments are underway, including deeper AI-driven growth opportunities, expanded integrations across the HR tech eco-system, and new features that make development, recognition, and alignment even more seamless.
