Google’s Final Beta Version of Android P Has Arrived

Google’s Final Beta Version of Android P Has Arrived
The Silicon Review
03 July, 2018

Android P still doesn’t have an official name. Pancake, Parfait, Peanut Brittle, Pecan Pie, Peppermint or Popsicle; the name is yet a mystery! Google has released a near final version of Android P (Beta 3), within a month after releasing Beta 2 version. The latest iteration is now available for the developers for bug fixes and stability tweaks, after which the version will be available for users.

Since Google brought a number of visible tweaks with Beta 2, there shouldn’t be too many of them in this version. “Beta 3 now takes us very close to what you’ll see in the final version of Android P,” says Dave Burke, Android VP of Engineering in a blog post. The system tools available are multi-camera support, enhanced notifications, display cutout and image decoder.

The finalized APIs are among its key updates so that developers can start testing and building applications for the new version of the software. The update is available for the developers with access to a pixel device. The company has also planned to host Reddit AMA on July 19 for addressing all the technical questions regarding the new version of the operating system. As the Beta 3 version is out for testing, our wait for the updates of latest Android version, Android P is soon going to be over!
