The Criterion Collection Inc, an American home video distribution company is going to launch its upcoming streaming service, The Criterion Channel on April 8th. However, interested customers can start the subscription now. The streaming service will provide its customers with the company’s classic collection of feature films, short films, master classes with directors etc.

The customers can get the subscription at a price of $10.99 per month or $99.99 per year. For those customers who sign up before April 8th, they will be getting it at a discounted rate of $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year. The company confirms that subscribers will be able to watch the entire collection of Criterion’s streaming library. Moreover, the website will have a constantly updated selection of Hollywood, art-house, international, and independent films. The company has planned to include a Sunday spotlight feature focusing on directors, genres, themes etc. The channel will also include a Tuesday short films, and much more exciting contents.

There are many other perks for early subscribers: they will be provided with immediate access to a weekly film, with rest of the forthcoming online contents.

As per Criterion’s announcement, the company was all set to launch the streaming service last November after the closure of WarnerMedia’sFilmStruck. It was a streaming service that provided streaming access to the company.
