Deliveroo to Open Technology Base in Scotland

Deliveroo to Open Technology Base in Scotland
The Silicon Review
01 August, 2019

A new Scottish technology base will be opened by Deliveroo – the online food delivery company. This will be the first outside London office that is after the acquisition of the Edinburgh software firm. Deliveroo has been working with Cultivate for over three years now. It has been optimizing it for a payment system that handles millions of tractions every day.

But now this new operation of Deliveroo will be aiming to improve and support the delivery riders. Also, this deal has come during the time of increasing global interest in Edinburgh's growing technology. A huge change in the home food delivery market is expanding, giving away high skilled jobs.

Within the next three years, the company is planning to employ 50 highly-skilled tech experts in Edinburgh. People who are engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists will be part of this organization. Also, reports say that Cultivate's chief commercial officer Andy Robinson will lead the operation.

Things are going great for Deliveroo and with this new expansion, it might see something amazing in the future. Also, with Andy Robinson leading from the front we can expect great things from the company in the future.
