GemEye Helps Jewelry Traders take Business onto E-Commerce Platforms
The Silicon Review
29 August, 2019

The 21st century has seen the rise of e-commerce platforms and the digitizing of trade. With the plethora of SaaS and other services, it can be difficult to choose the right kind of service. GemEye, headquartered in New York with a team in Kolkota, is a SaaS-based platform exclusively for jewelry trade. HemantAgarwal, the founder of GemEye, realized how each business has its own unique style of making ornaments and that there was a lack of sites exclusively selling jewelry and founded the company in 2017. Therefore, this talented entrepreneur came up with the idea of creating a SaaS platform catering only jewelry traders.

“Jewellery usually being a family business, and with each having their own working style, it was hard to go online. So I eventually decided to build something out of these experiences. My friends in the jewelry sector provided me with insights on the trends in the jewelry industry and the hurdles that they face in their operations. After analyzing the issues, I supervised my team of developers to design the current product,” Hemant says

GemEye primarily chooses jewelry wholesalers and retailers, precious stones dealers, luxury watch brands, etc. The startup helps jewelry brands get onto the e-commerce scene by helping them create a website for a fixed fee and membership and listing their products. They currently have five clients across US and India with more prospective clients in the pipeline.
