TravelPerk launches new Refund Feature to Help Businesses Save on Cancelled Trips

TravelPerk, a Spain-based, corporate travel booking platform, has rolled out a new product for its customers to process their cancellation refunds in a hassle-free manner. The move comes after it raised $60 million from Series C funding.

According to Avi Meir, co-founder and CEO of the company, the main element behind the new launch is the company’s urge to surpass the flexibility and convenience of consumer travel.

Dubbed as FlexiPerk, the new feature will allow users to cancel all legs and element of their journey and get a refund of 90 percent of the total booking amount, the company said.

Ten percent of the money will be deducted as a cancellation charge where users can cancel their trips even just a couple of hours prior to when they were supposed to leave.

There is only one restriction of the feature. The users will not be able to pick and choose the refund buffer according to their wish. They will have to fill up a contract, which needs a week’s written notice to cancel. According to the contract, the users would get back 90 percent of the money back.

Mr. Meir defines the cancellation process as “super simple”, stating that the customers can cancel from the application with just two clicks. The refund is processed automatically by the platform.
