Burger King being sued on the claims that its vegan burger is adulterated with meat by-products

Burger King being sued on the claims that its vegan burger is adulterated with meat by-products

Burger King is being sued by a vegan man who claimed that his Impossible Burger, a vegan variant, is being cooked on the same grill that is used for meat patties. This goes against his vegan policies which caused him to claim that burger King had conned him into buying a burger which he otherwise wouldn’t have. His claims were of false advertising and Burger king causing him monetary losses.

The occurrence had taken place in the Southern District of Florida where the case had been filed. The plaintiff is a middle aged vegan who does not consume any animal by-products.”The Burger King that Williams visited did not have signage at the drive-thru indicating that the plant-based burger would be cooked on the same grill as meat, the suit says,” was what the suit had claimed.

"For guests looking for a meat-free option, a non-broiler method of preparation is available upon request," Burger King's website describes the Impossible Whopper as "100% Whopper, 0% Beef.”

The Impossible Burger is the vegan variant of the famous burger from the fast food behemoth. Since its launch last year, it had been a tremendous success which caused Burger King to have its best quarter in the last four years.
