Digital Mobility Solutions is a Sri Lanka based vendor who introduced the popular ride sharing solution called PickME. Recently, the company announced its partnership with Microsoft, which will revamp the delivery of digital services in Sri Lanka. Last year Microsoft extended it support to almost eighteen startups as a part of its Scaleup program. The initiative is focused on helping startups grow their revenue and customer base. As the first giant leap in their collaboration, PickME will leverage Microsoft’s cloud offering Azure to scale its capabilities and capacity. The company’s intention is to makes use of the Azure Data Platform to acquire real-time intelligence to deliver exceptional customer service.

A cloud-based service that is aimed at big data analytics called the Azure HDInsight will help the popular ride hailing company to process enormous amount of historical and streaming data to get better results in intelligent insights and real-time data processing. Some of the other component that was deployed includes Azure Blob Storage, Azure Virtual Machines Scale Sets, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Database for MYSQL. CEO of PickME, Jiffry Zulfer has stated that his company always focuses on the peace of mind of riders and driver-partners alike and the pace in which changes are happening in transport is very unexpected.
