The Silicon Review
06 July, 2021

BigCommerce, a popular Open SaaS ecommerce platform provider, has recently made an announcement that it will be expanding its presence from the U.K. into other countries like France, Italy, and the Netherlands. By working with BigCommerce, merchants will now have access to an enterprise-grade ecommerce platform that is flexible enough to be sold on local and global scale. This latest announcement has come months after the company went public in August 2020. In the last few years, the company achieved massive growth within the Eurozone ecommerce market. Various reports suggest that the ecommerce sales in the Eurozone are all set to reach US$530.7 billion by the end of 2021.

The company’s expansion plans are also expected to create new roles in Italy, Netherland, and France. BigCommerce provides a localized experience that will help merchants to manage their operations in the local language. Jim Herbert, VP and GM EMEA of BigCommerce, stated that the company is powering more than 60,000 merchants, and they are committed to serving the region and its retailers. He furthermore added that they could provide customized services and programs by expanding the company’s presence into other regions. Since its inception, BigCommerce has helped various businesses to enhance their presence.
