Unity, a popular development platform that allows creators to make 3D and 2D games for tablets, consoles, PCs, phones, and AR and VR devices, has recently made an announcement that it has launched Unity Gaming Services. The latest offering is still in beta and provides the creators with monetization, player engagement, backend, and user acquisition. The updated version of the same offering is expected to soon support the cross-platform launch and multiplayer games. Many popular games in recent times are multiplayer like Genshin Impact, Fortnite, Roblox, among others.

Unity Gaming Services is now available globally, and it has more than 100 devs on the platform. The new platform will have all the things required by a dev to build live games. These games are exempted from going through the company’s release process, and the devs can easily sync their logic with Unity’s backend. Among the various tools offered by Unity, there are tools that will allow multiplayer gameplay, like the ones that can connect players, match players, and create lobbies along with in-game voice chat. Lestiyo from Unity has stated that the latest offering is very simple, and it is one of the easiest ways to make cross-platform multiplayer games.
