In its recent announcement, the big blue IBM has mentioned about several key developments that have helped clients accelerate transformation. A Series of new features was also designed to help modernize the hybrid cloud environment. One of the most important inclusions was to give IBM Z as-a-service on IBM cloud for test and dev. To evaluate application modernization on the mainframe, IBM Institute for Business Value Study had conducted a report in which more than 70 percent of the respondents have stated that applications based on the mainframe play a major role in the business strategy. Four out of five respondents have stated that their organizations must rapidly evolve to stay ahead of the completion, including modernizing mainframe-based applications.

VP of IBM Z Hybrid Cloud, Tarun Chopra, has stated that IBM is focusing on helping its clients who are spread across every industry and massively transform the way business functions are carried out. He furthermore added that IBM clearly understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to modernization. By making use of both IBM Cloud and IBM Z, clients can now benefit greatly from a hybrid cloud approach that is proven to boost security, innovation, resiliency, and technical advancements.
