Synopsys Launches Code Sight Standard Edition to Improve Software Development Security

Synopsys’ new Code Sight™ Standard will enable organizations and developers to find and fix security defects in a quick time

Synopsys Software Integrity Group, which predominantly provides integrated solutions in a recent press meet, has announced that it would be rolling out the new Code Sight™ Standard Edition, a standalone version of the Code Sight edition. This new version will be helpful for Integrated Development Environments (IDE) that will allow the organizations and developers to find and fix security defects in a quick time.

Synopsys has stated that Code Sight Standard Edition will find the security defects in source code, open-source dependencies, infrastructure-as-code files, and various other files. It will also provide fast, lightweight application security analysis, thereby reducing costly rework caused by issues during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Code Sight Standard Edition will also help developers reduce the downstream security testing process. Synopsys has said that the developers can easily download and install the latest Code Sight version directly from the VS Code Marketplace and begin analyzing their code in less than five minutes. Code Sight Standard Edition will be available for free for a 30-day trial period.
