Apple revealed iPhone 14 and W...Apple has unveiled the iPhone 14, with car crash detection technology and emergency satellite connectivity, at a launch event in the US.
Apple revealed four versions of the new handset at its Cupertino headquarters in the presence of audiences in person for the first time since the pandemic. It also unveiled a new extreme sports wearable - the Watch Ultra. The launch focused on the next-generation Watch, Airpod products, and iPhone. Tim Cook, CEO of the company, was on stage at the Steve Jobs theatre inside the California campus of Apple but the presentation was entirely pre-recorded.
Apple Watch Series 8 has several new features, including a temperature sensor for tracking ovulation, a new low-power option, and car crash detection. IPhone 14 handsets can send an emergency call for help via satellite. The most significant change in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max design is the top of the screen, which is now a pill-shaped cut-out.
The Apple Watch Series 8 is priced from $399 in the US and £419 in the UK. The Apple Watch Ultra is priced from $799 in the US and £849 in the UK. The iPhone 14 is priced from $799 in the US and £849 in the UK. The iPhone 14 Pro is priced at $999 in the US and £1099 UK.
