The report says that Adidas raised concern about Kanye West’s conduct for years

According to a report, the senior leaders and the chief executive at Adidas discussed the potential fallout from its relationship with Ye as far back as four years ago.

A group of Adidas employees during a 2018 presentation to the Adidas executive board reportedly outlined the risks that they faced by interacting with West. According to The Wall Street Journal report, the presentation also included several mitigation strategies that included cutting ties with Ye.

But, according to Morningstar analyst David Swartz, Adidas executives continued to meet with Ye to try and hold onto their partnership and made nearly $2 billion a year or 10% of its revenue for Adidas. In September of this year, during one meeting Ye accused executives of the German sportswear giant of stealing his designs and showed them a clip of an adult video.

In October, the company officially terminated its partnership with the American Rapper after he made a series of antisemitic comments. In a recent statement, Adidas said that it is not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true, but Adidas took the allegation very seriously and it is launching an independent investigation of the matter to address the allegations.
