After Elon Musk takeover Twitter to make job cuts

Twitter to make job cuts

Twitter says that after Elon Musk takes over the firm will inform its staff on Friday about whether they will be laid off or not.

The social media company, in an internal email, said that the cuts are "an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path". The firm said that their office will be temporarily closed and badge access to their office will be suspended as well. After buying the company in a $44 billion deal last week, the world’s wealthiest person will be the new chief executive will of Twitter.

In an email, Twitter said that the company will go through the difficult process of reducing its global workforce on Friday. It added that their step might impact many individuals who have contributed greatly to Twitter but this action is necessary to ensure the successful moving of the company. According to Twitter, all the employees will receive an email with the subject "Your Role at Twitter" by 09:00 Pacific time. Also, the laid-out employees will be notified through email.

As per the speculation, half of the 8000 jobs on Twitter are on the chopping block. It is very evident that the social media platform is struggling to make a profit. And it chose one way to fix the problem and that is, by making a dent in the wage bill.
