Bing Chat will be available for third-party browsers on the web and mobile "soon."

Microsoft announced on Monday that Bing Chat will be available for third-party browsers on the web and mobile "soon." This means that users of Safari and Chrome will soon be able to use Bing AI Chat. Microsoft acknowledged in late July that their ChatGPT-like Bing Chat was being tested on third-party browsers such as Chrome and Safari for select users.

The statement was made as part of the Microsoft Bing blog's celebration of six months of availability of the generative AI tool. Bing Chat has facilitated over 1 billion discussions and processed 750 million photos using the Bing image generator, which is powered by DALL.E. Microsoft hopes to onboard more people from both the desktop and mobile ecosystems by removing the requirement for users to install a specific browser to use these AI services.

Furthermore, as part of its six-month anniversary, the new AI-powered Bing Chat has gotten several new capabilities. This adds an improved Bing Chat, which is only available on the Edge browser and supports longer chats and chat history. Microsoft is also launching a dark option for desktop and mobile for Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise to minimize battery consumption and make it easier on users' eyes.
