Loews Hotels & Co., a New York-based owner and operator of branded hotels, has appointed Dan Flannery as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over four decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Flannery will oversee all operational aspects of the company's 25 hotels. In his role as COO, Flannery will develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance guest experiences, and drive overall business growth. His focus is on delivering exceptional service, maximizing business unit profitability, and ensuring alignment and execution of strategic goals across the organization.
Previously, Flannery served as the CEO of Cape Resorts and played a key role in creating and launching the Edition luxury lifestyle brand with renowned hotelier Ian Schrager. At EDITION, he managed the opening and operation of the brand's initial 15 hotels worldwide. Throughout his career, Flannery has received numerous accolades, including being named "Hospitality Professional of the Year" by the Food and Beverage Association of New York City and "Operations Executive of the Year" by the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Luxury Travel Advisor Magazine also recognized him as the "Top General Manager in the World" in 2008. Flannery is known for mentoring hospitality professionals and has contributed significantly to the development of industry leaders.
