Miniso continued the U.S. expansion with plans for 12 new stores

Miniso is accelerating its expansion across the U.S. through collaboration with mall operator CBL Properties

The initial phase of store launches commenced in November 2023 at malls in Roanoke, Va., and Winston-Salem, N.C., followed by an opening in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in January 2024. Over the course of 2024, Miniso plans to establish stores in malls across Nashville and Chattanooga, Tenn.; St. Louis; Huntsville, Ala.; Waco, Texas; Lexington, Ky.; Greensburg, Pa.; Overland Park, Kan.; and Bismarck, N.D. Stephen Lebovitz, CEO of CBL Properties, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting Miniso's appeal to a customer base that favors mall shopping. He described Miniso stores as a draw for visitors, complementing the diverse array of retailers, dining options, and entertainment venues within CBL properties.

These expansions come on the heels of a significant year for Miniso, during which it expanded its footprint in over 20 states in the U.S. and added more than 1,000 net new stores worldwide in 2023. The company hosted a traveling Blind Box Carnival, featuring unboxing events in China, New York City, Indonesia, and the U.A.E. Tyrone Li, General Manager of Miniso USA, expressed excitement about the rapid growth in the U.S. market, emphasizing the brand's commitment to providing trendy and high-quality lifestyle products to consumers nationwide. The goal, according to Li, is to ensure easy accessibility to Miniso products across the country, aligning with the company's expansion strategy.
