With the initiation of the GenAI Innovation Centre in Kochi, IBM unveiled its latest plans to advance artificial intelligence. This state-of-the-art facility aims to allow companies, startups, and partners to explore, experience, and develop generative AI technology solutions.

The GenAI Innovation Centre, located within the IBM India Software Lab, will be a hub for innovation, providing access to the latest IBM technologies. This includes InstructLab, a collaborative effort between IBM and Red Hat designed to optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) leveraging proprietary data. In addition, the Institute combines IBM Watson AI and data platforms with AI-enabled technologies to assist clients in the development and deployment of custom AI models tailored to their specific enterprise requirements. Dinesh Nirmal, Senior Vice President of Products at IBM Software, reaffirmed IBM’s dedication to enhancing India’s AI ecosystem and stated that the GenAI Innovation Centre at Kochi is an effort towards that. The center aims to address the challenges of implementing AI, providing the technical guidance and resources needed to scale AI solutions. Focusing on a wide range of social entrepreneurship challenges in health, education, sustainable development, and more, the GenAI Innovation Centre aims to develop a community that harnesses the power of AI to influence change.

The launch of this facility is an important step in IBM's strategy to strengthen India's AI capabilities, encourage innovation, and advance AI-skilled talent development, reaffirming its supremacy in AI landscape.
