L&T Wins Major Contract to...The contract covers the License, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (L-EPC) of a 1,200 metric tons per day (MTPD) NPK fertilizer plant
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant contract from Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF), a Navratna public sector undertaking, to build a new NPK fertilizer plant. The project, which is estimated to be valued between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, would be carried out by the AdVENT business vertical of L&T Energy Hydrocarbons (LTEH). This order demonstrates LTEH's expertise in completing complex, large-scale projects in the hydrocarbon sector.
The contract covers the License, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (L-EPC) of a 1,200 metric tons per day (MTPD) NPK fertilizer plant, based on DAP, at RCF's Thal unit located in the Raigad district, roughly 100 km from Mumbai. To assist with plant operations, the project also includes the development of off-site facilities and associated utilities. With more than thirty years of experience, LTEH's AdVENT business vertical offers a holistic approach to project execution, specializing in advanced value engineering and technological solutions. Due to its operational excellence, dedication to international standards, and attention to quality, health, safety, and the environment (HSE), the company has built an excellent reputation.
RCF's decision to embark on this new project is a strategic attempt to increase its production capacity and strengthen its position in the fertilizer industry in India. The contract strengthens L&T's position as a global leader in the engineering and hydrocarbon industries.
