Microsoft Launches Discless Wh...Aside from the color and discless design, the console retains the same rear ports as its predecessor
Microsoft has unveiled a new discless version of its Xbox Series X console, sporting the same sleek white color as the Xbox Series S. This latest model, priced at $449.99, differs from the original Xbox Series X only in appearance and the lack of a disc drive. Unlike previous versions, there is no option to attach a disc drive, so gamers purchasing this variant will need to rely on digital downloads or Xbox Game Pass.
Aside from the color and discless design, the console retains the same rear ports as its predecessor, including two USB-A ports, a HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet port, and a storage expansion slot. The front of the console also features a single USB-A port and the pair button for controllers and accessories. In addition to this release, Microsoft is offering a $349.99 1TB Xbox Series S in white for the holiday season, along with a 2TB "Galaxy Black" special edition Xbox Series X priced at $599.99. While rumors have circulated about possible internal upgrades to the white Xbox Series X’s cooling system, no official confirmation has been provided yet.
This discless model gives Xbox fans an additional option for next-gen gaming, with a fresh aesthetic for the Series X lineup.
