A record-breaking 20 undecillion ruble punishment, or around $20 decillion, was recently issued by Russia on Google for censoring state-run media channels on YouTube. This astronomical amount is a direct reaction to Google's activities after 2022. The charge, which is primarily symbolic and intended to force Google to restore access to Russian media sources, was difficult for Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to pronounce. Google's decision to eliminate millions of videos along with more than 1,000 channels that it believed violated its content regulations is what started the litigation.
