Kia India Posts 23.8% Sales Gr...Kia India sees 23.8% sales growth in February 2025, led by the Syros SUV's success
The sales figures for February 2025 have been released by Kia India. Compared to the 20,200 units sold in February 2024, the brand sold 25,026 units total, a 23.8 percent increase compared to the previous gain. But compared to the 25,025 cars sold in January 2025, the brand has sold one more. It should be noted that the brand claims that hitting the sales goals has been made possible by the recently introduced Syros. The SUV is the brand's ambassador in the sub-compact segment.
In the Indian market, the Kia Seltos bridges the gap between the Sonet and Seltos. Its ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh. For this reason, the SUV sold 5,425 units in February. The top-end SUV model was selected by 46% of Syros purchasers, the South Korean automaker previously disclosed.
Although both models saw large declines in prior periods, the Sonet saw a 38 percent loss in January 2025, and the Seltos saw a 57 percent year-over-year decline in June 2023. The Sonet managed to sell 7,598 units, while the Seltos sold 6,446 units. The luxury Carnival Limousine sold 239 units, and the Carens contributed 5,318 units to the total. Furthermore, the carmaker shipped 2,042 of its Indian-made cars to over 70 foreign markets in the course of the month.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, mentioned that Kia India is experiencing steady growth, fueled by strong customer demand and their dedication to providing innovative mobility solutions. He noted that the impressive response to the Syros reinforces their belief that Indian consumers are looking for top-quality automotive options, with 46% of buyers choosing the highest variants. He also highlighted that core models like the Sonet, Seltos, and Carens continue to achieve strong sales, demonstrating their lasting appeal across various segments.
