Singapore Businesses Embrace HRTech for Efficiency and Engagement
The Silicon Review

Singapore’s HRTech boom: Driving digital transformation, AI-powered hiring, and smarter workforce management for business success.

Singapore's HRTech ecosystem is witnessing unprecedented growth with over 160 homegrown and global service providers vying for market share. As businesses of all sizes and shapes spearhead digital transformation, solutions in HRTech are being pushed to the limelight in streamlining hiring, employee engagement, and workforce productivity.

Historically slow to adopt HRTech, Singapore has dramatically changed in recent years, further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The necessity of remote working and HR process automation through digital HR tools has necessitated mass adoption industry-wide.

Among the few developments in the industry is the launch of the 2020 Singapore HRTech Market Map, a study project of HRTech blogger Adrian Tan and boutique advisory service hr tech.sg. The latest market map divides providers into eight general talent areas, which are Talent Acquisition, Talent Engagement, Talent Development, Talent Operations, Talent Rewards, Talent Analytics, HR Management Systems (HRMS), and Talent Planning. The full classification facilitates companies to pick the right-fit solutions to cater to their needs.

On the list of upcoming trends are AI-powered recruitment platforms such as VCV that simplify the recruitment process, minimize time-to-hire, and improve the candidate experience. Automated HR software, payroll platforms, and employee engagement solutions are assisting businesses in simplifying workforce administration and retention.

Adrian Tan emphasized that HR teams need to adopt HRTech to respond to business concerns effectively and create better candidate and employee experiences. hr tech.sg CEO Sriram Iyer encouraged organizations to utilize government initiatives like the Resilience Budget and IMDA's Singapore Digital (SG:D) initiative to spearhead HR digitalization.

Whereas worldwide firms embrace HRTech solutions from enterprise software firms as well as specialist vendors, Singapore's HR landscape is experiencing a transformation of sorts—driven by an emphasis on productivity, employee engagement, and ultimately business success.
