Trump Administration Proposes ...Trump administration plans to develop "Golden Dome" missile defense system, inspired by Israel's technology.
According to reports, the Trump administration is preparing to construct a "Golden Dome," a significant move that would encourage the American defenses even further. In order to defend the nation against ballistic missile threats, President Trump suggested creating a missile defense system akin to Israel's "Iron Dome" during a joint session of the US Congress. This system has been named the "Golden Dome" by Trump. The technology will reportedly track any missile attack before it reaches American territory and nullify it in midcourse.
It is well known that Israel's Iron Dome is thought to be the most potent and successful defense against ballistic missile attacks. During an aerial assault on Israel, Hamas fired hundreds of missiles, many of which were intercepted and destroyed by the Iron Dome. The United States is currently getting ready to create a new Golden Dome protection system based on technology while keeping this missile defense system in mind.
Although former President Donald Trump recommended upgrading missile defense technology to compete with systems like Israel's Iron Dome, the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile defense system remains the foundation of the United States. Among the key mechanisms of this complex system are the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD). SBIRS uses satellites in orbit to observe and detect missile launches in order to provide early warnings. These satellites start the next line of defense by sending energy information to radars that are based on the ground. The GMD and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) systems are essential for intercepting missiles in the middle of flight.
THAAD, on the other hand, provides flexibility by enabling defensive operations from almost any position thanks to its mobile system with interceptors mounted on trucks. These elements work together to provide a complete missile defense system that shields the United States and its allies from missile threats.
