From UK Startup to Global Plat...Manchester, Monday 7th July — As workplace culture continues to evolve, a bold new startup is redefining what corporate events can and should look like. Claritee, the UK’s first alcohol-free corporate events company, officially launched with a mission to transform the way businesses host social, celebratory, and client-facing occasions - placing wellbeing, inclusivity, and mental health at the core.
Founded by Alex Clapp, a legal entrepreneur in recovery from alcohol addiction, Claritee is rooted in personal experience and purpose. After years of navigating work environments that normalised drinking, Alex saw the need for change - and built Claritee to provide a compelling, stigma-free alternative. The company’s guiding belief is simple: workplace events should feel good, do good, and include everyone.
Cultural and generational shifts are driving rising demand for healthier, more inclusive social spaces—especially in the workplace. In the UK, 43% of Gen Z adults identify as teetotal, while 8.8 million people participated in Dry January in 2023 alone. At the same time, only 24% of employees say they want alcohol at work events. The alcohol-free sector is growing fast, forecasted to exceed £450 million by 2025. Despite these changes, most corporate events still centre on alcohol, leaving many employees excluded. Claritee exists to bridge this gap - by offering a new model for professional connection that aligns with modern values and supports real wellbeing.
Claritee delivers high-quality, alcohol-free corporate events, ranging from awards nights and business networking to team socials and conferences. The experiences are vibrant, professionally produced, and built around human connection—not intoxication. The company also offers flexible sponsorship packages and co-branded partnership opportunities for businesses seeking to align with purpose-driven, wellness-focused initiatives.
Claritee has already proven demand for a new kind of event experience—working with partners including Pro-Manchester, NACOA, Steps Together, and R;pple Suicide Prevention to deliver high-quality, alcohol-free experiences that put wellbeing and inclusion first. With this first phase now firmly established, the company is entering its next chapter: building a global hub for wellbeing.
This next phase will see Claritee evolve beyond events to become a platform that shines a light on anyone doing good for people’s wellbeing - whether that's a sober rave, a running club, or a festival that puts connection over consumption. The vision is to make Claritee the go-to destination for discovering inclusive, uplifting experiences near you - while giving businesses, creators, and communities a place to be seen and celebrated for the impact they’re making.
To support this growth, Claritee is preparing for an investment round aimed at scaling the platform, expanding its reach, and accelerating its mission to create a more connected, wellbeing-led culture - locally and globally.
Alex Clapp, Founder of Claritee, said: “Claritee started as a simple idea: to show people what’s possible when you take alcohol out of the equation. But it’s grown into something much bigger. Over the past two years, we’ve delivered first-of-their-kind events, partnered with brilliant organisations, and helped thousands of people connect in new ways. Now, we’re building a platform that goes beyond just our events. Claritee is becoming a space to shine a light on anyone doing good for people’s wellbeing - because this isn’t about ego, it’s about choice. If you’re looking to feel better, live clearer, or just try something new, we want Claritee to be where you start.”
