Inherent Security

Abiquo’s powerful, role based access control scope integrates with your existing Active Directory or other LDAP compliant services and is developed around the Spring Security Framework.

Over 50 privileges which can be grouped into defined roles and scopes which determine the areas that a role can control over your cloud resource. System-wide controls allow you to enable or disable features as you see fit, enabling you to build a differentiated service which meets your customers’ needs.

Powerful API

The Abiquo API provides full control of all Abiquo functions. This means you can perform every function, from user and security control, to provisioning new VMs, to gathering information on any system element through the API – all controlled by the same privilege, roles and scopes security model. An example would be to integrate your order management system to automatically create Enterprises, Users and a Virtual Datacenter for a new customer, or to update capacity limits when a customer increases their order size.

Reseller whitelabelling

Each reseller can have their own fully branded user interface and their tenants can access the platform through custom URLs with custom login screens. Providers can create custom themes for each tenant using CSS to style the HTML 5 UI elements.

The provider can optionally create a login screen for each reseller URL, each with their own logo, watermark, and color scheme.

You can customize the main menu icons, logo, and color scheme for each reseller or tenant.

You can replace the default VM template logos. And it is easy to customize the colors of some other elements (e.g. pagination controls). Finally, many other elements can be customized to order by Abiquo UI design department.

Meet Xavier Fernandez – Co-Founder and CEO

Xavi co-founded Abiquo in March 2006. Previously, he worked as a project manager, senior developer and Java developer for Everis Consulting Group. At Everis, he led teams that developed applications for large companies such as PepsiCo and Gas Natural.

Xavi’s work focused on developing XML, HTML, J2EE, Weblogic, Oracle and SQL-based applications for these large companies. Before his work with Everis, Xavier built a wireless network for an entire town in Spain. He holds an ITIL certification from Hewlett-Packard, as well as an IGNITE certification from the University of Cambridge, among other certifications. Xavi holds a B.A. in electrical engineering and an MBA in industrial management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain.
