Sometimes, the farthest corners of the earth can only be reached by sea, and an adventure cruise is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the most remote natural places on the planet. Adventure cruise ships are much smaller than commercial cruises, meaning they can access off-the-beaten-path ports and dock in natural areas that larger cruise ships cannot.  Smaller ships are able to get extremely close to colossal icebergs and giant whales in Antarctica, or navigate through secluded areas of earth’s most complex ecosystem on an Amazon cruise. There’s a reason animal lovers flock to the open water—and a wildlife cruise provides the perfect vantage point. Like a safari by sea, wildlife cruises let travellers admire animals in their natural habitats. Sometimes, it’s a top-deck dolphin spotting. Other times, it’s observing a distant polar bear. It’s about more than just one animal sighting, though. The best wildlife cruises include multiple unscripted fauna encounters.

Adventure Quest Tours Canada Inc. is a family run company that believes in conservation and stewardship. The firm uses the highest standards for viewing the wildlife. It tries to minimize motor noise during the whale tours because sonar producing whales, such as Killer Whales, Dolphins and Porpoise are particularly sensitive to boat motor noise and studies suggest that Whales change their behavior and spend more energy travelling in high noise areas.

Adventure Quest offers the best services in travel support for increased peace of mind.  It has a full-service Air Travel Department who can swiftly navigate the complicated web of flight options and get you out of a jam and to your destination on time.  It offers exceptional travel insurance packages and a 24 hour emergency line that you can call for help with any urgent situation prior to or during your cruise.

Helping Science & Research

When you sail with Adventure Quest on island & wildlife day cruise you are directly contributing to scientific research which helps them learn more about the wildlife of the Bay of Islands. On the boat their crew record specific encounter information, including type of species encountered, GPS location, group size, group composition, behavior and the presence/absence of boats around the animals. They are always keen to support all marine mammal and wildlife research in the Bay of Islands and surrounds. The firm can help to form codes of conduct, education the public and make better policies that will create a sustainable future.
