Algolux – Empowering vision systems with the most robust perception technology for all conditions

The fantasy that a machine is capable of simulating the human visual system is old. We’ve come a long way since the first university papers appeared back in the 1960s, as evidenced by the advent of modern systems trivially integrated into mobile applications. Today, computer vision is one of the hottest subfields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, given its wide variety of applications and tremendous potential. Its goal: to replicate the powerful capacities of human vision. There are endless applications where the ability to extract meaning from “seeing” visual data is useful. Computer vision combines with other technologies such as augmented and virtual realities to enable additional capabilities. Humans are not only capable of understanding scenes corresponding to images, but also of interpreting handwriting, impressionist or abstract paintings and, with a little training, the 2D ultrasound of a baby. The good thing about innovation that relies on artificial Intelligence and machine learning, in general, and computer vision, in particular, is that companies of all types and sizes, from the e-commerce industry to more classic ones, can take advantage of its powerful capabilities.

Algolux is a globally recognized computer vision company addressing the critical issue of safety for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles. Their machine-learning tools and embedded AI software products enable existing and new camera designs to achieve industry-leading vision performance across all driving conditions. Founded on groundbreaking research at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision, and computational imaging, Algolux has been repeatedly recognized at industry and academic conferences.

Eos Robust Depth Perception Software

Eos is an award-winning embedded perception solution that massively improves vision system robustness in all conditions. Our efficient end-to-end deep learning architecture can be quickly personalized to any camera lens/sensor configuration or for multi-sensor fusion. Combined with stereo or depth-sensing cameras, Eos offers an alternative to Lidar at a fraction of the cost. Eos is built with a highly optimized end-to-end architecture and a novel AI deep learning framework that uniquely addresses the challenges of perception in harsh conditions. This reduces model training cost and time by orders of magnitude and removes sensor/lens lock-in, something not possible with today’s deep learning methods. Eos addresses individual NCAP requirements, L2+ ADAS, higher levels of autonomy from highway autopilot and autonomous valet (self-parking) to L4 autonomous vehicles as well as Smart City applications such as video security and fleet management. Eos provides multi-sensor early fusion for L2+ and higher autonomous vehicles and robots. Combined with stereo or depth-sensing cameras, Eos provides an alternative to Lidar at a fraction of the cost. Its perception software enables end-to-end learning of computer vision systems. The approach allows customers to easily adapt their existing datasets to new system requirements, enabling reuse and reducing effort and cost vs. existing training methodologies.

Atlas Camera Optimization Suite

The Atlas Camera Optimization Suite is the industry’s first set of machine learning tools and workflows that automatically optimize camera architectures for optimal image quality or for computer vision. Through a secure cloud-enabled interface, Atlas significantly improves computer vision results in days vs. traditional approaches that deliver suboptimal results even after many months of manual ISP tuning. Atlas can automatically optimize your camera ISP to maximize computer vision accuracy, something not possible with today’s manual ISP tuning approaches. The Atlas Camera Optimization Suite allows users to automate the painstaking process of expert manual tuning for visual image quality. Flexible, it allows users to leverage their own custom KPIs to embed in the automated optimization process. Algolux solutions enable your advanced driver assistance systems to achieve industry-leading accuracy and robustness while allowing you to scale your resources, accelerate project schedules, and quickly support any sensor or processor architecture. The Atlas tool suite can be immediately applied to your existing vision systems to improve computer vision accuracy by up to 25% mAP while the Eos perception stack can be embedded in your new designs to deliver up to 3x improvements, especially in difficult low light and poor weather scenarios.
