An Interview with Samer Khouli, TargetCW Founder and CEO: ‘We Work with Companies Big and Small, but Ultimately, it’s About each Worker being Happy with the Service we Provide’

Samer Khouli, TargetCW Founder/CEO, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.

Tell us about yourself?

I have been in San Diego most of my life, went to elementary school here after my family moved to the states from Syria. I went to Serra High School and then Christian Heritage College in El Cajon. I started my company about eight years ago to help companies manage their freelancers and gig-economy people. We now have about 10K workers around the world that we manage for companies. We work with companies big and small, but ultimately, it’s about each worker being happy with the service we provide.

How did you select the vertical and decide to be a part of the global platform?

I had a passion to create a company inside this space that truly provides the best benefits and employee experience for our client’s contingent workers. The decision to expand that footprint across the globe was to make us a turn-key solution for our clients, regardless of location.

What is your company’s vision statement? And to what extent are you successful in achieving the same?

Our goal is to simplify the use of contingent workers for companies. Our year over year growth of 40 percent and $350M in revenue is proof of a thriving industry and our successful business model.

What do you feel are the reasons behind your consistence growth as an organization?

We have great people servicing great clients with a highly desired service. Moreover, we have an amazing culture that has impacted our company’s growth, one way or the other. We work hard to maintain that culture by reinforcing our values.

What is the most prominent factor that has been an asset to your organization?

I am most proud of my employees, they’re epic. Everyone loves coming to work and giving their one-hundred percent. We’re probably known for our innovation and crazy good customer service. We don’t have an automated phone system because everyone wants to speak to a human, not a machine. We also have some awesome technology.

How does your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?

We give 10percent of our profit to charities. Our employees get two days a year to volunteer. Our company sponsors about 30 different organizations with time and money. We are huge animal advocates providing money for adoptions, health insurance and other pet-friendly items. In terms of IT, we have a website dedicated to privacy with GDPR compliance and Privacy Shield certification.

Do you have any new products ready to be rolled out into the market?

StaffingNation our Contingent Workforce Platform is constantly being innovated. For 2019, we have a new version that will change the way the industry staffs.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

I see us doing 1 Billion in revenue, a new 70,000 square foot building with a new vertical built around StaffingNation our Contingent Workforce Platform.
