Apptricity also provides Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) enterprise applications, including Asset Tracking, e-Procurement, Travel and Expense, Contract Management, and Supply Chain Management solutions for defense, federal, and state and local government agencies. Apptricity offers its solutions by using an integration engine that is a multi-dialect tool enabling solutions to provide data to, and consume data from, external sources. Apptricity’s integration engine also provides pre-built connectors for Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Epicor, JD Edwards, GEAC, and Microsoft Dynamics, to name a few.
Apptricity was incorporated in 1999, and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with additional office locations in San Diego, California; Washington, D.C.; and London, England.
Tim Garcia, Apptricity Corporation CEO, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.
Q. Why was the company set up? And what do you propose to bring into the market?
Apptricity was founded to resolve the historic frustration among enterprises caused by the high cost and limited success implementing, integrating, and deploying enterprise software applications and ERP solutions to the corporate and government enterprise marketspace.
Q. Tell us about your first product that was launched.
Our first product was an enterprise travel and expense management application.
Q. What is the current market scenario?
Apptricity has grown 100 percent over the last two years and is expected to do the same for 2019; we find ourselves the leading global provider of IoT enterprise software.
Q. What were the grounds on which you have expanded your company and its offerings over the years?
Over and over again, we have seen over-budgeted ERP implementation bring companies to the ground due to the length of time it takes to implement their solutions. Our solutions are easy to deploy and implement, allowing companies to gain ROI on a much shorter time frame.

We’re a leading global provider of IoT/M2M enterprise solutions for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Human Capital Management.

Q. What are your company’s mission and vision statements? And to what extent are you successful in achieving the same?

Q. How often do you innovate? Is it only when there is a need in the market?
We actually consider each installation an opportunity to innovate our products. Each organization has unique needs with custom workflows, whether tracking inventory or splitting expenses across the organization. It is our attention to the efficiencies of each organization that reveals opportunities for innovation.
Q. What are the factors that make your company stand out from the competition?

Q. Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?
We believe we will be the de-facto leader in the Commercial Enterprise IoT software space.
Tim Garcia: An Entrepreneur at Heart
Tim Garcia brings more than 30 years of software sales, management, and development experience in the enterprise applications market to Apptricity. Under his leadership, Apptricity’s growing client base now includes two of the world’s largest organizations, namely AT & T and the Department of Defense. Prior to Garcia’s 19 years as Apptricity’s CEO, he held management positions at Pivotal Corporation (NASDAQ: PVTL), Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR), Peregrine Systems (NYSE: HPQ), Sterling Software (NYSE: CA), and EDS (NYSE: HPQ).
Mr. Garcia received his BA degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis.
