Pantone NYFW AW26 Palette: Invigorating & Refreshing

Pantone unveils its NYFW Autumn/Winter 2026 colour palette, a striking duality of earthy neutrals and bold vivid shades described as invigorating and refreshing.

Pantone, the global authority on colour, has released its official Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report for New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2026, presenting a palette defined by striking duality. Running from February 11 to 16, NYFW will showcase designers embracing colors that “reflect a duality, blending a desire for authenticity and subtlety with a spirit of innovation and experimentation”.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, described the seasonal direction as one that “balances minimalism with urban energy,” bringing together “the safe and the enticing to shape a new chromatic balance.” She emphasized that consumers are seeking wearable colors with true versatility while simultaneously reaching for shades that “inject energy, surprise and spontaneity”.

The top ten standout colors feature earthy, grounded tones alongside daring, outspoken vivid shades. The palette includes Muted Clay, a rustic terracotta offering inherent warmth; Neptune Green, an aquatic retro-inspired tone; and Green Envy, rooted in the purity of the earth. Arabian Spice delivers a raw, primal brown, while Foxglove offers soft muted pink with romantic mauve undertones. Rich depth comes from Red Mahogany, a quietly indulgent red-toned brown, balanced by the carnival spirit of Festival Fuchsia. Acacia injects a burst of brightness with its potent green-infused yellow, All Aboard evokes sky and sea with vibrant maritime blue and Burnt Olive provides richly layered, sophisticated green.

Complementing these ten standout colors are five trans-seasonless foundational neutrals. Egret offers creamy winter white with natural warmth; Candied Ginger serves as a smooth, soothing neutral; Toffee delivers timeless chocolate brown; Underworld provides mid-tone grey strength; and Poseidon brings meditative Deep Ocean blue.

Pantone describes the overall effect as a “blend of divergent colors that invigorates and refreshes,” bridging heritage with innovation and creating a colour duality infused with refreshing new perspective.
