Bobby Ward, Vorto Trading Co-founder and MD: ‘We are a Leading Specialist for Complex Currency Transactions with a Massive Presence in Asia and Europe’

“We are a company with great ambition and are continuing to grow within the currency space.”

Forex, also known as foreign exchange or FX trading, is a portmanteau of foreign currency and trade. It is the process of changing one currency into another for a variety of reasons, usually for commerce, trading, or tourism. It is one of the most actively traded markets in the world, with an average daily trading volume of $5 trillion.

In light of the foregoing, we’re thrilled to present Vorto Trading.

Vorto is a deliverable foreign exchange trading house offering a bespoke service to a wide range of clients from institutional traders to corporate and private clients. The firm provides an unrivaled service in the deliverable FX industry.

The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in London, England.

In Conversation with Bobby Ward, Vorto Trading Co-founder & Managing Director

What is the reason behind the genesis of Vorto Trading? How did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?

Vorto was set up to provide an unrivaled service in the deliverable FX industry. We have expanded over the years by adding products and services which enable the client to handle everything under one roof. We are a leading specialist for complex currency transactions with a massive presence in Asia and Europe.

A well-defined mission and vision is the secret behind the success of many firms.’ What is your company’s M&V statement?

Our vision is to be the go-to currency platform for international payments, whether that is standard Sterling to US Dollar transfers or movement of funds from capital controlled countries. It’s our mission to offer solutions to problems. We enjoy getting creative and building robust transfer mechanisms to provide our clients with something our competitors can’t, which is why we are now recognized as a pioneer in this sector.

Can you brief us about your firm, the work you do, and the types of clients with whom you work?

Vorto is an FX trading house with offices based in London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. We are a company with great ambition and are continuing to grow within the currency space. Our clientele includes large financial institutions, global sports brands, premiership football clubs, high street retailers, importers, manufacturers, or any company or individual that has foreign currency exposure.

What are your company’s core values and how are they helping you to succeed?

Vorto has nine core values, which are the foundations of our success:

  • Good Intentions for our clients

  • Remaining Positive in any given situation
  • 100% Honesty whatever the weather
  • Harnessing the spirit of Innovation
  • Building a strong Connection between our clients and partners
  • Being a source of relentless Growth
  • Using initiative to be Resourceful
  • Doing business in an Ethical and Conscious way

Any company, big or small, must have a sense of authenticity and originality to succeed, is your company a leader or a follower?

Over the past several years, we have built niche product offerings, which have enabled us to become one of the leading complex currency providers. Our reputation is continuing to grow and every day a new company wants to partner with us so their clients can benefit from our bespoke service.

“Earning trust and respect of consumers is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions.” How do you interpret this statement?

The ethos we have regarding client relations is similar to our internal culture; we have only good intentions for one another. There’s an old saying “treat others as you wish to be treated yourself” -- this sums up the attitude we have when dealing with clients. When a new client joins us, they are allocated a relationship manager who handles all of the clients’ needs, so they only ever speak to one person. Our client retention rate is near on 100 percent and plan to maintain that.

Fostering a culture of feedback is crucial to the success of every organization. How is this true with your company?

In the digital world we live in; it’s very true that online feedback and testimonies are crucial to growing a successful business. Vorto is proud to have an ‘Excellent’ Trustpilot score of 4.8 out of 5.

Trustpilot is one of the leading review platforms and we will continue to build on that score through offering an unrivaled service.

What are the factors that make your company stand out from the competition?

By using a dynamic approach, we always stay ahead of the curve and will continue to evolve every step of the way. We also understand that every client has unique requirements in order for their business to thrive and given that we are an experienced company, we are able to provide bespoke payment solutions without any additional expense to the client. We can also open ‘named currency accounts’ for our clients (free of charge) to enable them to receive 3rd party payments from international customers. Another product we offer are Pre-Paid Currency Cards which allows companies to use our cards anywhere in the world at great exchange rates, spending on these cards can also be monitored and capped through our online portal. What else is we have the ability to handle mass payroll services with ease using our advanced technology platform.

Do you have any new products ready to be launched?

Given that we facilitate large currency transactions for corporations and HNWI’s alike, we are planning to build a platform for our members to offer more than just currency, but I am not going to divulge any more at this stage so watch this space!

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

We will continue to grow in the currency sector by expanding our operation into more countries. Europe, Asia, and Australia are our target markets.
