The Silicon Review reached out to Samina Chowdhury, who spoke about how the agency is making a difference in this segment and plans to stay at the forefront. She also highlighted how she grew up as a professional working for the agency. Below is an excerpt.

Q. Do you think the world needs more women in leadership roles? And do you agree with the slogan: ‘Women are powerful agents of change for an economic transition’?
I 100 percent agree that the world should have more women in leadership roles. Women continuously prove that they are powerful in making a change and are capable of playing a vital role in any leadership position they are given as well as any man.
Q. How would you describe your career journey so far?
In my career, I have always been encouraged to do what I feel is best for my business and never had to face any kind of backlash from my peers. Rather it is nice to see that my peers have embraced some of my ways.
Q. How is the industry you serve currently evolving? And where does Bob Lucido Team stand at the moment?
The real estate industry is quickly moving into the digital media space and we are embracing the change by advertising on social media. We not only advertise the houses but also promote our skills and creativity. Our reach is more through this new median.
Q. What groundbreaking and proactive methodology does Bob Lucido Team implement to meet its clients’ expectations?
My focus is on helping buyers see how their culture and lifestyle can fit into today’s American homes, and for sellers to experience a streamlined process of getting their house ready to list, market, and sell with ease. Importantly, we, at the agency, implement the Guaranteed Sale Program and the HELP Program to address our clients’ needs and expectations.
Q. Can you provide us with one or two success stories describing the challenges your clients faced and how your solutions helped them overcome those challenges?
One time I was working with a client who was moving from Los Angeles to Baltimore. She was looking for a place in the city where she could relax and unwind after the day because she worked in a stressful environment. She wanted a place that was quiet and serene. I knew that the busyness of downtown was not going to provide her with the density of silence and stillness that she was looking for. So, I showed her some listings outside of the city where I felt she would have the place to refuel that she wanted. She ended up getting one of the homes I suggested and was so grateful that I understood her needs. We developed a deeper level of connection and trust throughout that experience because I listened to what she said but also understood what she meant.
Q. What do you think are the biggest challenges your industry will face in the next five years? And how do you plan to counter those challenges?
We can already see a lot of big companies like Zillow and Amazon trying to sell real estate through automation, but I still feel our clients need relational agents to give them the service they require. Keeping in touch with our sphere and past clients to continuously provide them value even after the transaction is done is the best way to overcome those challenges. Big companies cannot match the service we offer.
Q. About the future, where do you see Bob Lucido Team a couple of years from now?
We plan to keep expanding our reach to help clients globally. We have already grown into 16 different American states and two Canadian provinces. We plan to keep adding more states and countries to the list.

My family and I have called Maryland home for over 30 years. Here, my husband, who is a renowned Infectious Disease Specialist, and I, have raised our two children. A global citizen, I am also fluent in Bengali, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, and English and have many professional connections — local and abroad. While I strive to be a thorough professional, I am also very passionate about giving back to society by supporting charities and helping to make life better for those in need.
