Q. What was the motivation behind starting Bohreer Law Firm?

I wanted to create a firm where we focused on creating strategic partnerships with our clients and focused on client driven service built on developing relationships and investing in understanding the goals of the client.

Firms and corporations are crossing international borders and expanding across the globe through mergers, acquisitions, consolidation, and collaboration with foreign counsel. Tell us about your compliance model.

BLF looks for other law firms across the country and around the world that embrace client driven service. We have built relationships with other firms here and abroad and enjoy collaborating. In some instances, once another firm is engaged, we take a more subtle “back seat role” as client advisors while at other times we take the steps needed to be admitted into the local jurisdiction to be on the front line for our client.

Q. Technology has transformed the practice of law. Which are some of the technologies that have helped you to improve your services?

Hard to imagine being a lawyer without my iPad and iPhone. The practice of law and my entire law firm is available through the push of a few buttons. BLF strives to be a paperless firm. We love having the ability to share files electronically, collaborate together on documents and, of course, hold a teams meeting or zoom with clients across the globe.

Q. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful leader?

The most important characteristic to me of a successful leader is embracing the value and strength of the team you have the fortune to “lead”. A leader must encourage others to take responsibility and support team member’s decision. Secondly, a leader must listen. It is critical to hear the goal to be accomplished and the thoughts of others on the method of accomplishing the objective. Third, a successful leader doesn’t care about credit. Success is when the goal is achieved. Give credit to the team.

Q. How did you manage to form your dream team?

Well… it didn’t happen overnight. You make some mistakes, but ultimately the “dream team” manifests through words and deeds, the belief in the same core philosophy, creating strategic partnerships through client driven service.

Q. About adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this high volatile market?

Bohreer Law strives to stay up to date and works hard to make sure our clients are kept up to date on changing laws or best practices. We send frequent e-blasts, routinely post updates or “hot topic” posts on social media and we always try to make our clients feel that each one is important to us and are more than just a file.

Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?

We love to assist clients in creating a culture that makes employees want to come to work every day and work together to maximize business and personal goals. We continue to expand our training offering and have a new focused training on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

BLF knows every day is a blessing and an opportunity to make a difference. At Bohreer Law, we say we stand at the intersection of business and law. Excitement lives at that intersection.
