Mobiauto is an automobile technology platform that promotes greater efficiency and practicality in the purchase and sale of cars in Brazil, serving both professional dealers and end consumers. 

The company has witnessed exponential growth in the home market through the virtual selling of automobiles. As a result, Mobiauto has established itself as one of the three major automotive marketplaces in the country, with over five million monthly accesses. 

Mobiauto was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Silicon Review reached out to Sant Clair de Castro Júnior, co-founder and CEO of Mobiauto, and here’s what he had to say.

Interview Highlights

Q. What does Mobiauto’s innovation culture look like? What strategies are in place to encourage innovation in your company?

We believe that innovation is not a single department; it is the central focus of all Mobiauto teams. Leadership is key to keeping this mindset alive. Our hires are designed to create a plural environment. We prefer 10 people with different perspectives who will bring 10 possibilities, than everyone with the same vision and an idea on the table. Another important point is our risk-taking value. The fear of making mistakes prevents any chance of innovating. Therefore, experimentation and agility is our main methodology.

Q. Can you introduce us to your services? What are their main features?

Mobiauto maintains dual public profiles: one for individuals and another for companies. These profiles cater to distinct requirements and goals within the context of buying and selling vehicles. 

For individuals, we have classifieds; a complete platform with smart filters to buy or sell vehicles. There are thousands of cars and motorcycles announced, from popular to luxury models, utility vehicles and more. The platform also facilitates communication between interested parties so that they can personally evaluate the product. In addition to vehicle listings, customers can carry out financing simulations on the fly, in addition to relying on the unique geolocation system where they can find the car they are looking for closer to their home.

Our legal clients consist of dealerships, shopkeepers, rental companies, assemblers and resellers. We provide comprehensive business management solutions tailored to their needs. These solutions comprise tasks like synchronizing information, automating processes, facilitating transfers, utilizing artificial intelligence, managing data, overseeing leads, integrating stock, enhancing telephony experience, and even evaluating vehicles within a rapid two-minute timeframe. Additionally, we enable the purchase of vehicles from individuals using virtual coins.  

It’s possible to modulate the solutions aligned with the operation of each client. Implementation is simple and ultra-custom.

Q. What are the innovative technologies/methodologies that Mobiauto leverage to proffer your services?

Mobiauto has been innovating in several areas of the automotive sector. In the car classifieds, the company qualifies the lead by using its own telephone and e-mail validation technologies, as well as geolocation and a map leading the customer to the car dealership that sells the vehicle of interest.

Notably, most of our innovations are included in Mobigestor, the customer management and sales process platform, where the first lead management platform with inventory and WhatsApp integration was created. The platform differentiates itself even more with the creation of MobiGPT, a conversational assistant that works as an advisor guiding and informing the seller so that it can generate the best experience for customers in their conversations via WhatsApp, email, or chat. To create better ads, generating more personalized and faster descriptions when advertising a vehicle on the classifieds platform, you can use the advertiser MobiGPT, where the description of the ad is completely personalized.

The main bets are in data and artificial intelligence, with novel products that can provide auto sellers and buyers with the greatest experience possible when negotiating their cars or motorcycles. We provide all this with products never seen before in the industry, resulting in the best experiences for sellers, store managers, dealerships, and consumers.

Q. How does Mobiauto promote greater efficiency and practicality in the purchase and sale of cars for its customers?

Each stage of our platform was developed to provide an intuitive experience, from the vehicle registration process to proposal negotiations. We are the first auto classifieds site to enable the functionality to include more than 20 photos and even videos to bring a better standard of security and transparency for buyers. With Mobiauto, customers can centralize all their needs in a single place, from choosing between new, semi-new or used cars to instantly carrying out financing simulations. In addition, human service is a priority for us, ensuring that any queries are clarified through dedicated human specialists. Our products, including those in the area of ​​artificial intelligence, are meant to help and improve salespeople's arguments, never to replace them.

Q. Will Mobiauto be expanding, bringing on any services that we should be aware of?

We have our minds set on artificial intelligence. A tool that we believe will be ubiquitous from now on in all solutions, for both customers and companies. We just launched MobiAI, an exclusive area of ​​the company focused on this technology. We are optimistic about this path.

Q. What is the future roadmap set for your company?

The plan is to take bigger and bigger steps. Thus, we will continue working to consolidate ourselves as the most humane, technological and relevant player in vehicle buying and selling experiences in Brazil, and expand our operation to other countries in the near future.

Mobiauto | Leadership

Sant Clair de Castro Júnior, co-founder, serves as the CEO of Mobiauto. He has also served as an executive, director and COO of large companies in the financial and technology market in the automotive sector. Sant Clair earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), a master's degree in Sciences from the same university, and an International Executive MBA (Insper) in Marketing (Columbia University of New York) and Economy, Data Science, and AI (The University of Chicago).

Guilherme Braga, co-founder, serves as the CTO (and CPO) of Mobiauto. Guilherme is an experienced information technology manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Internet industry. He has 17 years of IT experience and nine years managing teams in strategic and operational initiatives.

Guilherme earned a master’s degree in IT Governance from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
