Q. What was the motivation behind starting CadenceSEO?

The motivation behind CadenceSEO was launching a digital marketing agency that could offer a new and extraordinary approach to SEO consulting compared to your average SEO firm. As many of our clients have vented about previous SEO agencies and their lack of communication and transparency, CadenceSEO knew there had to be a better way to approach this. At CadenceSEO, we believe in being a trusted advisor, consultant, and valued member of our client’s team, which is why we value transparency, communication, and engagement in our services.

Q. How do you create engaging content? And how do you assess the quality of the content?

We are fortunate to have a strong, internal content creation team that can offer robust content strategies to clients. Our content creation team offers writing services for blog copy, core page copy, press release copy, and other content-related projects. At CadenceSEO, our SEO strategists perform critical keyword and competitor research to find out what keywords our content team should be striving to build content around in order to rank higher on the search engine algorithm.

Q. Effective SEO means you rank high. Sites that rank high are targeted by competitors who want a slice of the SEO pie, which means you’re always on your toes. How do you manage to keep yourself ahead of the curve?

We manage to keep ourselves ahead of the curve by performing consistent page crawls, keyword research, competitor analysis, page optimizations, and creating new content. We monitor our client pages closely to make sure they don’t fall behind, especially when it comes to keyword rankings. If a specific keyword starts tanking on the search for a client, we are always searching for a way to bring it back up, whether it be creating new content or optimizing previously published content.

Q. You could update all your content and website features and still not find that your site has improved. Is it possible to promise results and engagement?

Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in the world of SEO. From experience, we are able to gather data on what has performed well for other clients but still cannot promise similar, positive results. Even though we cannot make that promise, we still think it’s important to test various optimization methods to see what does work and what doesn’t with specific clients. Every brand is unique, so finding results can vary from client to client.

Our Data accumulation goes through the use of SEO/Analytic platforms to uncover opportunities for our clients to improve. We use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, and other online tools to gather data.

We market our services on Linkedin as well as organically through our blog content, Google Ad words and other platforms such as Clutch.co and Designrush.com

Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?

We just recently launched a Free SEO toolkit with a mission to help educate users on what elements of SEO have the most impact and allow them to see firsthand where their website can improve.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

The company is continually evolving and adding new levels of service. Although we are passionate about sticking with what we are the best at, which is SEO, we are continually trying to enhance that user experience and create an environment that breeds trust and knowledge. We know that telling all of our secrets is risky as we could, in theory, educate someone to a point where they stop working with us to do it themselves, but that is a risk we are willing to take. CadenceSEO is a family run company owned by Christy Olsen and Kevin McLauchlin. A husband and wife couple who have two very different skill sets. Christy Olsen is an SEO nerd through and through. She loves SEO and the nuances of it. Kevin McLauchlin on the other hand handles much of the business side of the company while still being able to hold his own when it comes to SEO.
