Having long been a growing space, the profitability of eCommerce continues to explode. We’re likely to see an even bigger increase in sales than predicted by pre-COVID-19 estimates, as eCommerce sales have seen massive growth and transformation since early 2020. Mehboob Rasool, an eCommerce pioneer and the founder and CEO of CloudSeller LLC, spoke to The Silicon Review about how his company is addressing this issue at the grass-roots level.
Through its robust and innovative software (invented by Mehboob), the new-gen technology company allows eCommerce business owners in the U.S. to find, purchase, and re-sell goods on leading platforms such as eBay and Amazon. This cutting-edge software is the first of its kind. It uses sophisticated filters and live updates to compare the prices of goods from a wide range of categories across major platforms in real-time. This allows users to purchase products for re-sale at the lowest prices, thus helping them maximize their profits. The beginner-friendly program is as versatile as it is innovative; it makes it possible for new, inexperienced users to break into the eCommerce scene and establish their own businesses, while also enabling existing and veteran businesses to increase their potential profits and sales.
CloudSeller LLC's subsidiary, CloudRepricer, was established in 2019 to assist re-sellers interested in entering and standing out within the online marketplace by beginning an Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) business. It allows users to compare Amazon RRP prices for the top 5,000 products in all categories to eBay and Walmart to find the best prices and optimal buying opportunities. The timing of the innovative program’s debut is ideal given the recent surge in online shopping brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Consumers are shopping online more now than ever before, making it the perfect time for aspiring entrepreneurs to establish and grow eCommerce businesses. Although it’s a recent development, CloudRepricer is off to an impressive start, having received the Bristol Prestige Award for E-Commerce Solutions Specialist of the Year-2021.

Flashback: A Brief History
Mehboob is not the only pioneer in his family. He comes from a long line of creative, adaptable individuals and his grandfather is one of his greatest role models: “My grandfather moved to the U.K. in the late 1950s and established himself as a well-respected entrepreneur who owned multiple businesses. He started his journey by selling a wide range of clothing and garments at flea markets. He went on to open his own DIY store (a paint and wallpaper shop) and also opened the first cinema to feature Bollywood movies in the 1970s in the city of Bristol. He was a shining example of a modern-day philanthropist. He helped immigrants who moved to Bristol from Pakistan by employing them, assisting them in getting their driver’s licenses, aiding them in finding accommodations, and signing them up with their local doctors. At that time, the language barrier was a huge challenge for immigrants living in the U.K., and my grandfather's business success and highly respected status in the community put him in the position to help those in need,” Mehboob Rasool said.
Mehboob was also heavily inspired and encouraged by his father: “My late father, Ghulam Rasool, followed in my grandfather's footsteps and established his own commercial shop named 'Paris Fashions' by selling garments in 1977. My father's only brother moved to Canada in 1974 and established multiple car dealerships in Saskatoon and became very successful in a short period of time. We had many successful entrepreneurs in our family. My late father's commercial shop caught on fire, and we suffered many financial hurdles during this time while waiting for a settlement from the insurance company, which took 15 years. But the self-belief within my siblings and myself enabled us to set up a successful new furniture venture in the U.K.”
Rising to the Occasion
“When I was working for British Telecom after graduating from university, my father gave me life-changing advice and told me to take risks. He said, ‘If you continue working for a company, you are only going to be able to survive. But, if you become an entrepreneur, you can reach your ultimate potential.’ My father encouraged me to relocate to the U.S. and try my luck there.”
Mehboob continued, “As a child, I was always fascinated with the quality of living in the U.S. I wanted to provide my wife and children with a great place to live, work, and progress. I was already well-established in the U.K., but I decided to take a leap of faith for the long-term benefit of my family, and we moved to the U.S. in 2016. There, I successfully set up a subsidiary of my company, Cloudseller LLC, which has reached excellent scalability within 3 years of $1.6 Million turnover per annum.”
In addition to such excellent entrepreneurial achievements, Mehboob has made impressive and innovative contributions in the areas of business and technology. Most notably, he invented and developed a software program called "Software Method and System to Find Top Rated Products at Best Price," which will enable many American businesses and Amazon sellers to increase their profits. The software is still in development and will be launched on the App Store soon. Mehboob’s innovative and creative skills are further evidenced by his co-invention of other patents including “Travel Ticket Booking Method and System” and “Fundraising Platform using CSR.”

Mehboob shared the keys to his company’s success: “Over time, I have built relationships with my customers based on trust and I have always honored my promises. When I place an order, I pay immediately without procrastination or delay. This practice has allowed me to build close connections with my key suppliers for consumer electronic accessories. This type of behavior is now paramount in my company. My employees and colleagues are expected and encouraged to demonstrate high levels of trust and integrity to join my organization. The Road Ahead
When asked about the company’s future, Mehboob said, “I always strive to innovate, adapt, and evolve based on changes and fluctuations in the market. I first started selling furniture in the U.S. in 2016 and diversified to selling consumer electronics within two years. Once I established connections with suppliers, I built a strong network around me. I am constantly looking for new areas to expand my eCommerce selling on Amazon worldwide. I currently sell in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. I have also added Japan, Australia, and Singapore as part of my selling outlet.”
When asked about his philanthropical efforts, Mehboob said, “I have deep admiration for all modern-day philanthropists, in the U.S. and worldwide, who give back to the wider community. I believe that the first step to helping others is establishing yourself and securing a strong position. When you can help yourself, then you are in the ideal position to help others as well. The main ingredient to success is risk-taking. Fortune favors the brave and by taking a leap of faith and moving to the U.S., I was able to expand my business, reach a wider market, and become an established, successful reseller of consumer electronics.”
