cunsa International is a global player in the health and wellness industry, known for its ability to deliver end-to-end solutions in the nutrition, vitamins, and supplements space. Founded in 2007, the company was built on a clear mission: to make high-quality nutrition more accessible worldwide. At the heart of that mission is co-founder Francisco Cáceres, who also leads commercial and development efforts. His goal from the beginning wasn’t just to supply products, but to become a true growth partner to pharmacies, retailers, distributors, and pharmaceutical companies.

What makes Cunsa stand out isn’t just the range of supplements or the quality of their manufacturing—it’s the full-scope support they offer. Clients don’t just get a product; they get a strategy. From early market research and product selection to regulatory compliance, manufacturing, branding, and even team training, every step is built to adapt to the client’s needs and market conditions. It’s a full-circle model that gives clients the confidence to launch or grow their own brands, backed by a team that knows the space inside out. Cunsa’s reach is international, with clients and distribution networks across Latin America, Asia, the U.S., and Africa. You’ll find their products on shelves in Peru, Chile, Mexico, the U.S., Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Egypt, and beyond. Whether working with drugstores, supermarkets, or retail chains, the company has proven its ability to adapt across regions and deliver consistent value.

From its office in Hialeah, Florida, Cunsa International continues to serve as a trusted partner to companies looking to strengthen their presence in the wellness market. Their success comes from more than just good products—it comes from a deep understanding of the industry and a commitment to helping clients build something that lasts.

In conversation with Francisco Cáceres, Co-Founder and Commercial & development Director of Cunsa International

CUNSA presents itself as a full-spectrum manufacturing partner from formulation and packaging to regulatory compliance and marketing. How does this 360° solution differentiate you in the supplements space?

Cunsa International is truly a 360º solution—something we even refer to as an external Category Manager or “Product as a Service.”

We’re involved in every stage of brand development and business growth, with a high level of flexibility—not just in adapting formulas to regulatory needs, but also in labeling, claims, advertising, and more.

This comprehensive solution, combined with the commercial, marketing, and training support we provide, positions us as a company that doesn’t even compete directly with traditional manufacturing plants around the world—because what we offer goes far beyond production.

With over 20 years of experience operating in multiple countries and 400+ products, how do you maintain product quality and adaptability across diverse markets?

The truth is, at Cunsa we’ve been operating in multiple countries for over 20 years, and that has taught us something fundamental: success comes down to two things—having solid processes, not just aligned with the highest U.S. standards, but also fully compliant with each client’s local regulations, and at the same time, being highly flexible at the local level.

When it comes to quality, all our products are manufactured under international standards. We follow strict protocols across the board, which allows us to ensure consistency across all the countries we work with. On top of that, our technical teams—who are truly outstanding—provide constant oversight, from production all the way through to after-sales support.

That said, we know that not all markets are the same. That’s why we listen closely. We work hand in hand with local partners, clients, distributors… and with all that input, we adapt—not just formulas, but also packaging, flavors, and even commercial strategy.

And perhaps most importantly, we have people who are deeply committed to what we do. Diverse teams, on the ground, who understand the specifics of each country and are trained to uphold the standard that defines us. That, I believe, is what has allowed us to grow without ever compromising on quality.

Regulatory complexity varies significantly across regions. How does CUNSA navigate these challenges to support clients launching in new international markets?

Our regulatory teams are fully aware that each country and region has its own regulatory requirements—often different, and sometimes even contradictory. Over time, we’ve learned how to adapt to these differences.

For example, we’ve successfully unified product formulas for multinational clients operating in up to nine different countries, allowing them to streamline logistics and grow their businesses more efficiently.

This ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and still offer competitive, market-ready products is one of the advantages our clients value most.

Many clients seek both private-label and branded solutions. How do you balance support for emerging brand owners versus established retailers?

The truth is, these are two very different worlds—and we treat them as such. At Cunsa, we fully understand that an emerging brand needs something completely different from what a large retailer expects. That’s why we tailor our approach to each client.

With entrepreneurs or new brands, we take a very hands-on approach. Sometimes we’re involved from day one: helping with product development, regulatory registration, packaging ideas, or even go-to-market strategies. In those cases, our role is much more about guidance and building together.

On the other hand, when working with large retailers—who often seek private label solutions or more standardized products—we operate with highly efficient processes focused on compliance, timelines, quality, and scalability. For them, operational reliability is key.

What allows us to balance both worlds is having teams that truly understand those differences, and internal processes that are flexible enough to adapt. And above all, we genuinely believe in building long-term relationships—whether it’s with someone just starting out or with a company that’s been in the market for decades.

What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

Cunsa International has tripled both its client base and revenue over the past two years. Our ambition is to continue expanding into new markets and, as we’ve already done with several partners, help transform our clients’ private label brands into the number one brands in their respective markets. We are currently building our fifth manufacturing facility, driven by our commitment to remain the most flexible, fast-moving, innovative, and quality-driven company in the industry.
