An Interview with Daniel Kodam, D-Kode Technology Founder and President: ‘We Innovate with Technology to Maximize Your Company’s Profitability and Productivity’

Q. Explain your services in brief.

We are a digital marketing company located in the Bay Area, California. We create partnerships, working closely with each client to understand their business and background. Together we create a clear company vision and image (brand). Once your brand is defined, D-Kode ensures that it resonates throughout your website, online marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click (PPC) advertising, and social media. D-Kode will create a website at no or low charge for non-profits and charities. While we can’t take on every project at all times, feel free to reach out if your organization is trying to make the world a better place to live. We’d like to help when we can. Initial consultations and Online Fitness Assessments are always free. If we can’t do the job, we know someone who can.

Q. You could update all your content and website features and still not find that your site has improved. Is it possible to promise results?

What we can promise is that our team of professionals will create a strong online presence that mirrors and strengthens your brand, which will increase sales conversions. While we cannot do guarantees, we have historically offered to do month to month contracts to not lock clients into a contract but prove to them our results.

Q. Business owners trying to compete in this highly competitive market usually find themselves facing a dilemma with their digital marketing campaign. How do you help them find the right tool that they can use and focus on?

We work closely with every client to create customized solutions. There is no one-size-fits-all model when it comes to digital marketing. Any company that says this is naive. The key is to really identify the goals and objectives of each client while honing in on a message and mission. We are experts in marketing, while the client is an expert in their industry. We partner together to ensure we create a strong message and brand to drive customers to them. We do this by devising and implementing the best strategy for every individual business based on this partnership.

Q. Tell us about your content development. What are the factors that will contribute to the engagement level?

When it comes to content development, the quality of content is key. It has to be well written, helpful, and guide the reader in addressing the reason they came to find your content. Along with that, SEO optimization is crucial. We dig deeply into analytics to figure out what resonates best and how to capitalize on that to drive traffic to it.

Q. What are the advantages of outsourcing website design and development projects?

We do almost our entire work in-house. We have a design team that takes care of all of the website design — a robust development team that can work on numerous platforms along with even mobile apps and software development. We take a very hands-on approach to our work. Through avoiding outsourcing, we can manage projects from start to finish; thus, providing high quality, cutting edge sites for our clients.

Q. How have technological developments helped you in your endeavor?

I think that the increasing ubiquity of the internet and web-based activity has only increased demand for digital marketing. I don’t see that changing any time soon. It will likely continue to grow and even delve further into the mobile and wearable space.

Q. A good workplace stresses teamwork while still encouraging individual achievement and creativity. Does your company follow the same strategy?

At D-Kode Tech, we are highly committed to positive workplace culture. Our team works closely with one another and with clients. We have daily internal meetings as a team and do various team-building exercises. We also make sure to recognize employees who excel — we do company shout outs with gift card rewards, firm VIPs, and encourage employees to share not just about their work-life but what is going on at home.

Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?

Our firm has recently launched a white label digital marketing program whereby we provide the servicing branch for other digital marketers. We have several agencies that focus on obtaining clients while we take care of the website and SEO needs for them.

Daniel Kodam, Founder, serves as the President of D-Kode Technology. He has over 35 years of IT experience with clients from micro-businesses to mega-corporations.
