The Silicon Review
Artvera Private Wealth Management is a London-based independent wealth management boutique. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the UK, the firm provides customized investment management worldwide, comprehensive wealth planning solutions, and corporate advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, their families, and their businesses.
Artvera was founded in 2012.
To highlight and further understand what Artvera stands for and seeks to explore in this segment, I sat down with Artur Bounegra (founder), who serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Below is an excerpt.
Q. Tell us what inspired the creation of Artvera Private Wealth Management.
After a long professional career in the global financial industry (both in banking and in investment management business) working in top management positions, I was able to capture a solid package of knowledge and professional expertise in different areas of finance which motivated me to establish my own wealth management company in London, one of the leading world financial centers. The choice in favor of wealth management was based on my understanding and a strong belief that namely wealth management business model could be the most effective for applying my professional background given that it incorporates various spheres of finance and requires deep expertise in multiple disciplines.
Q. What makes Artvera great? And how uniquely does the company provide wealth planning solutions and corporate advisory services to its high net worth clients?
Artvera provides wealth planning services to our clients as a mix of financial planning, wealth structuring and protection, tax planning and legal issues, estate planning, and business succession planning, fiduciary, and trust services that relate to our clients’ total wealth worldwide.
We closely work with our clients to assess their personal, family, and professional situation. We identify their needs and tailor their global wealth management to their tax environment, individual circumstances, and country of residence.
For our clients—owners of privately held and family companies, we provide corporate advisory services focused on their businesses, including advising on strategic issues and business planning, advising on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), purchasing or selling businesses, advising on restructurings and reorganizations, advising on capital markets and capital structure issues.
We can support and advise our clients’ family businesses at every stage of their life cycle and on any transaction, whether for selling their business, make an acquisition, merge with other company, make a restructuring, raise funding, or float their business on a stock exchange.
Q. Artvera is a wealth management boutique. Would you like to elaborate on this a bit more?
We are completely independent of global and large-scale financial institutions. Being a privately owned boutique company allows us to avoid conflicts of interests and bureaucracy that usually arise between different departments within large financial corporations, and helps us to be very flexible and reactive and always act in the best interests of our clients, putting their interests ahead of our own at all times.
Q. Artvera is authorized and regulated by the FCA of the UK. How critical is this association to your clients as the company deals with big numbers?
Certainly, being authorized and regulated by the FCA as one of the most respectable financial regulators by definition implies the full level of transparency, protection, and responsibility of Artvera for the high quality of all our services we provide to the clients.
Q. What are the other services Artvera offers?
At the heart of all our company’s services is providing the customized investment management worldwide with the full spectrum of investment opportunities globally by using a wide range of traditional and alternative investment strategies across all major asset classes.
We offer clients access to global markets and our tailored assistance through a wide range of investment solutions coupled with our bespoke portfolio management offering that provides them with a whole spectrum of investment strategies suitable for their investor profile.
To fully meet the needs of our clients and their families, we also provide lifestyle advisory services covering a wide range of family issues such as international relocation to the UK, UK residency and citizenship, education, healthcare, and concierge services in the UK.
Q. Will Artvera be expanding, bringing on any new services that we should be aware of?
Currently, considering a growing demand from our clients, we are planning to substantially increase our offering of alternative investment strategies by launching a series of Artvera funds in private equity, private debt, and real estate.
Q. Where do you stand as a company in the current market landscape? And what are you doing to stay ahead of the curve?
Even though wealth management is a highly competitive business with the current dominance of large-scale global financial institutions, we firmly believe that there is a huge niche for such independent wealth management companies like Artvera.
In Artvera, we apply a so-called ‘open architecture’ concept which means that we are not selling only our financial products as many large banks and financial institutions do. Instead, we provide our clients with the best possible investment and wealth planning solutions in the market by using our in-house solutions or external providers’ investment and wealth planning strategies.
Q. What plans for transformation are you pursuing to remain relevant now and in the future?
We plan to expand our services to a larger number of emerging markets that have a big growth potential in the coming decades.
