ACTIVE Network

The Challenge

Lack of visibility for commission payouts caused discontent and negatively impacted employee morale at ACTIVE Network. The commission's process, from data readiness to calculations and commissions statements was extremely time-consuming and manual. Extra work was required from Sales Operations to complete ad-hoc analysis, reporting and issue resolution.

The Solution

With CallidusCloud Commissions, time-consuming processes including the distribution of commissions and the collection of sales plans were automated and made incredibly streamlined, scalable, and transparent. Sales teams benefited from sufficient reporting and accurate commissions statements. They knew what they were paid, when, and why.


Reduced process time from one week to 10 minutes


The Challenge

With five pay processing units and 24 incentive plans based on 140 different rules, utilizing 380 look-up tables and 1,000+ formulas, complexity is inherent in Allstate’s pay programs. For seven years, the company has used the on-premise version of CallidusCloud Commissions to pay its 11,000+ agencies with 100% accuracy and SOX compliance. However, the time had come to consider a cloud-based solution. Such a solution had to be implemented within a short timeframe, manage all the same plans and calculations and pay program complexity, automate processes, and be easy for users to adopt.

The Solution

Allstate partnered with Accenture to implement in phases the CallidusCloud SaaS solution for Insurance Incentive Compensation. After a successful first implementation, it laid the groundwork to go live at all 11,000+ agencies. The solution is already reducing the on-premise IT footprint and software licensing costs as well as eliminating many man-hours previously dedicated to monitoring, upgrading, and other maintenance activities.

Leslie Stretch, President, and CEO: Under Leslie’s direction, CallidusCloud has transformed into a recurring revenue-based business that is the leader in cloud and mobile Lead to Money solutions that help companies make more money, faster. He has been honored with many awards, most recently in 2016; Leslie received 5 honors from the American Business awards including the Executive of the Year award.

Prior to joining CallidusCloud, Leslie worked for Sun Microsystems for nine years. At Sun, he held the position of senior vice president of global channel sales and was the managing director of Sun Microsystems U.K. Ltd. Before joining Sun, Leslie held senior sales positions at Oracle Corporation U.K. and was instrumental in accelerating the growth of its Scottish and Canadian operations. Leslie holds a B.A. Honors degree in Economics and Economic History from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering from the University Of Edinburgh, Scotland.
