In an age where efficiency and innovation define the future of industry, Mujin stands as a beacon of progress, transforming logistics and manufacturing through its groundbreaking intelligent robotics. Founded with a vision to make advanced automation accessible to all, Mujin has redefined what robots can achieve by developing the world’s only general-purpose intelligent robot controller. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with a growing global presence, the company empowers businesses to overcome complex automation challenges, boost productivity, and create a brighter future for workers, industries, and society. Led by a team passionate about innovation, Mujin is paving the way for a world where intelligent robots seamlessly handle tasks once thought impossible, enriching lives and driving progress.

Mujin’s mission is to democratize robotics, eliminating barriers to adoption and enabling businesses of all sizes to harness the power of automation. Its flagship product, the MujinRobot, is a revolutionary solution that integrates advanced artificial intelligence to see, think, and act autonomously. By addressing the limitations of traditional robots, which rely on pre-programmed movements, Mujin delivers flexible, intelligent systems capable of adapting to real-world complexities. With successful implementations across logistics warehouses and manufacturing facilities, Mujin has become a trusted partner for companies seeking to streamline operations and stay competitive in a fast-evolving market.

Redefining Robotics with Intelligent Automation

Mujin’s core innovation lies in its Mujin Controller, a sophisticated “brain” that powers the MujinRobot’s ability to perform complex tasks. Unlike conventional robots that repeat taught movements, the MujinRobot uses 3D vision to observe its environment, a robotic arm to execute precise actions, and a customizable hand to handle diverse objects. This integrated system allows the robot to make real-time decisions, adapting its speed and trajectory to optimize efficiency while ensuring careful handling of goods. From depalletizing incoming shipments to picking individual items and palletizing for outbound delivery, the MujinRobot automates the entire “see, think, pick up, and put away” process in logistics and manufacturing.

The MujinRobot’s versatility sets it apart. It handles a wide range of workpieces, from cased goods to individual parts and special items, regardless of shape or complexity. This flexibility makes it ideal for logistics warehouses managing diverse inventories or factories requiring precise handling of components. By customizing robotic arms and hands to suit specific processes, Mujin ensures its solutions meet the unique needs of each client, delivering unmatched performance in tasks previously deemed too difficult for automation.

Breaking Barriers to Adoption

Mujin’s intelligent robotics address longstanding challenges that have limited robot adoption. Traditional robots require extensive setup, complex programming, and skilled operators, making them inaccessible to many businesses. The MujinRobot, powered by over 360 patented technologies, eliminates these hurdles. Its autonomous decision-making capabilities reduce the need for human intervention, allowing even first-time users to operate it with ease. Features like barcode reading, crush prevention, and automatic workpiece changeover enhance functionality, meeting a broad spectrum of operational needs.

Speed is another hallmark of Mujin’s technology. The MujinRobot calculates optimal trajectories for each movement, considering the workpiece’s position, surrounding environment, and the robot’s constraints. This eliminates wasteful motions, achieving processing speeds that rank among the fastest in the world. For businesses, this translates to higher throughput, reduced costs, and the ability to scale operations efficiently.

Simplifying Implementation and Support

Mujin takes a hands-on approach to ensure seamless integration of its solutions. From initial testing to on-site adjustments, the company manages every aspect of implementation, sparing clients the time-consuming setup processes associated with traditional robots. This streamlined approach allows businesses to deploy MujinRobots quickly, minimizing downtime and accelerating returns on investment. Comprehensive remote support further enhances reliability, enabling Mujin’s team to address issues promptly and keep operations running smoothly.

The MujinRobot’s user-friendly design empowers workers at all skill levels. By automating complex decision-making, it reduces the need for specialized training, making robotics accessible to a wider workforce. This ease of use, combined with Mujin’s commitment to customer success, has driven widespread adoption across industries, from e-commerce giants to automotive manufacturers.

Leading with Purpose and Innovation

At the heart of Mujin’s success is a team driven by a passion for solving real-world challenges. The company’s founders, inspired by the potential of intelligent robotics, set out to create a platform that would make automation inclusive and impactful. Their vision continues to guide Mujin’s efforts to push the boundaries of what robots can achieve, delivering solutions that empower businesses and enrich lives.

Mujin is more than a robotics company—it’s a force for progress, redefining how industries operate in a rapidly changing world. By making intelligent automation accessible, reliable, and transformative, Mujin is building a future where businesses thrive, workers flourish, and society benefits from the power of innovation. As the demand for efficient, flexible automation grows, Mujin remains committed to leading the charge, one intelligent robot at a time.

Kazuyuki Takino, Co-Founder & CEO

Kazuyuki Takino was born in Osaka, Japan in 1984. In 2011, he founded Mujin with Dr. Rosen, a world-renowned authority on robotics. Prior to founding Mujin, after graduating from a US university, he worked for Iscar, a famous Warren Buffett company that boasts the world's highest level of profits in the manufacturing industry, where he achieved brilliant results, including winning many awards as a technical salesperson proposing production methods. The wide range of knowledge and realistic perspective he gained from working in Japan's tough production sites became the driving force behind his great strides in the robot venture industry, which is said to be particularly difficult to commercialize.

“Mujin Controller is the world's only general-purpose intelligent robot controller that can be connected to robot arms from 10 major manufacturers.”
